Since GLI already has central locking and remote plus Panic alarm button, what option is available if installing Steelmate type of security system.Main requirement is that the car should create panic/Sound if someone (thief) opens any door.For now a shopkeeper said... Existing remote will get disconnected and new Steelmate Remote will take over.Any suggestion ?
Dont's fiddle with the wiring. If your car has an immobiliser then i'd suggest leave it as is. The cons are far greater than the advantages that you seek.
Your Car is equipped with immobilizer better not to alter original wiring.There might be an option for activation of alarm in default key, owner's manual can help.
Dear I saw a video on fecebook where a new GLI was quoted and thieves easily opened the bonnet and took away the car.I would say that Indus needs to take this issue up and they must be knowing it as its very serious.So I am in a fix
yes dear.. there is an alarm option..Its just that I need to know or want the car to panic when opened.
I will suggest you install a kill switch in your car, that way your car won't start in case someone gets in and attempt to crack the immobilizer.
