Seeking advice for 3 day trip to Swat in January 2017

Dear Gurus,

We a group of collegues want to visit Swat - Kalam, Malam Jabba in first/second week of January. I am looking for advice to plan 3 day trip starting from Lahore which covers Swat, Kalam, Malam Jabba and iff possible Nathya Gali and Bhorban. My biggest concern is if the roads are clear these days or all these places will be accessable during january first week keep the possiblity of snow fall during those days.

1. Is January a good time to visit Swat ?
2. Could anyone recommend good hotels are resorts for stay.
3. Is Sawat kalam better than galyat and thandyani, ayobia muree visit these days?
4. Any recemondation to add or remove places other than i mentioned above.

Hotels

: In Malam Jabba, there are in general very few hotel options, I guess 2-3 are good hotels, and 2-3 kind of "ok". The good hotels (Falak Ser, baghdadi) were all booked hence we had to select a 2nd category hotel.
Where as in kalam, there are number of options, we opted for "West view", a newly built one, and 2 queen rooms costed 4500 per night.

Time taken:
ISB to Mangora : 5 hrs
Mangora to Malam Jabba : 2.5 hrs
Mangora to Kalam : abt 6 hrs
Kalam to Maho dand lake : 2.5 hrs

Hire Hiace/panther from ur city and enjoy ur tour...
Dnt worry about Hotels....
rate starts from 1000 (3 single beds)
Fuel cost depend on ur location....
Diesel 7km/liter
Petrol 9-10/liter
CNG dnt know about this one...

Rout - LHR - M2- M1 - Mardan - Dagai - Malakand Pass - Batkhella - Swat

Places : Saidu Sharif, Mingora, Murghzar, Malam Jabba, Miandam, Madyan, Behrain, Kalam, Forest, Ushu, Gabral/Utrot, Shangla Top & many more

Mingora or better stay in White Palace Marghzar ... awesome place for family stay

Whats the weather condition there like snow these days??There is no snow forcast till the first week of JAN but i want to know the current situation.??
Can we go uptil the mahodand lake on our vehicle or have to hire the jeep?
Can we cover all these places in three days?

Time is quite short to cover mentioned places as it takes almost full day time to reach Kalam due to shorter daylight in winters.. pls note comments with each points below;

1. Is January a good time to visit Swat ? - Will be very cold, specially nights. there is some Ski activities planned every year in Malam Jabba so you can plan this trip around those dates.
2. Could anyone recommend good hotels are resorts for stay. - options will be very limited particularly in Kalam and it will be just one or two hotels opens during this time and i think similar situation will be in other places as well except Mingora.
3. Is Sawat kalam better than galyat and thandyani, ayobia muree visit these days? - For me No, during this time i would say Galiyat is better to enjoy snow fall, though i wont suggest Galiyat in summer.
4. Any recemondation to add or remove places other than i mentioned above
