Seeking Advice: Installing AC in 1986 Toyota Corolla Diesel within 20K Budget

Hey everyone,

I have a 1986 Toyota Corolla, and I'm planning to install an AC in it. Since my car runs on diesel, I'm looking for suggestions on which AC system would be suitable within a budget of 20K. I'd appreciate any recommendations or guidance from the experts here at PakWheels forum. Thanks in advance for your help!

How much of your original ac is intact?

Is your evaporator and hvac plenum intact? The engine room lines can be hand made to work but interior parts for this car are probably obsolete now.

E80 stock scrap ac equipments will cost more then your budget.

Just the dashboard parts will get you way way out of budget. The engine room lines can be hand made,

If you want to jugaar a vitz ac box, you will hate your life later on.

How is that possible? 86 had standard ac

Only police can you help to get the AC on in this budget.

Not all 80 series corolla had ac, the hvac box was literally an HV box with provision to install an evaporator for the AC. Making it an HVAC box.

Same for wiring, it had plugs for the ac button, ac amp and even the 2 speed twin cooling fans infront of the car, all you needed was to remove the old wiring and plug in the new wiring at the fuse box, install an idle up vsv (wiring already provided) while for interior you only needed to add 2 pieces of wiring.

That i believe was the dx petrol version, if i am not wrong. Now we don't know what the seller has though
