Seeking Advice on Trip to Kalam or Naran

Dear Members,
I am planning a trip with family to either Kalam (Swat) or Naran. Based on the personal experience, could someone kindly advice which one would be the better choice with special on the following points:
1. Comparatively less crowded.
2. Hotel rates - comparatively less expensive.
3. Road condition.

For family, I would recommend Naran side..

It would be little more crowded than Kalam, but that depends on which month you are going.. In September October, Naran is not over-crowded..
Hotel rates are almost same in both areas..
Road conditions from Bahrain to Kalam are in worst conditions, while for Naran, you will not face any road problems..

Yes dear. .. July is best for visiting naran area. But July & august is raining month in naran kaghan valley.

July end is perfect but then you will have to bear with higher hotel rates because it is peak season from June end to start of sep..

Well kalam will b less crowded but only slightly. Now people have started visiting Swat as well after what havoc the area suffered at the hands of taliban. anyhow, road access will be better for Naran. IF you want both better roads and comparatively less crowd with budget accommodation you can very well go to Azad kashmir
