Asslam o alaikum everyone!!! Hope you all are doing well. It is my first time posting here so please ignore my mistake(s) in choosing category and tags. I want to establish a motor oil business and specifically I want to go for brands like AMSoil, Liqui Moly or Mobil 1. I belong to a relatively less developed city some players are already in the market like Zic's authorised service centre has been in the market for more than 2 years. I have some questions like which brand should I go for among above mentioned ones ? Do these brands have any worth in Pakistan ? Are they fit for Pakistani market ? and the one you suggest please also let me know in detail what makes it a better choice. I want to go for something that will out number the existing players in market (Zic, Kixx etc) while staying in the budget of everyone. Which brand is providing complete support/supply to retailers, my cousin bought Bunny's distribution but they had not sufficient production and never provided what was demanded eventually the business collapsed in less than 6 months with loss in millions. Is there any model service centre (In Lahore) that you want me to visit and take inspiration from. I would request sincerest and best advice and suggestions from all the respected seniors.P.S: I have already wasted a hefty amount on my attempts to escape from Pakistan and other business ventures, I hope you can understand that for me now it is not about doing something extra-ordinary but to succeed in at least 1 project.

A friend of mine started this business and got the license to sell a well known UAE based engine oil brand in certain parts of the country BUT the biggest challenge he faced was with the national distributor of the country who delayed shipments, agreements weren’t fulfilled etc so the point is that you need to be very careful about where you’re going to procure the product from since all well known brands have authorized distributors and you’ll have to deal with them. Do ask around from people/shopkeepers who are already in the business.
