Seeking Guidance as Beginner for Car Audio Setup

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the car audio scene and I'm looking for some expert advice. I'm particularly interested in upgrading the sound system of my Mehran.

I've been exploring the market and found these options:

• Nakamichi Android Player (Rs. 17,000 - 21,000)
• Used Pioneer DEH-P5050UB (Rs. 16,000)

I've already purchased Alpine DDL-R17S speakers in excellent condition.

I'm on a tight budget of around Rs. 20,000. Can anyone suggest a suitable setup within this budget? Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

First things first, are you going for a single din headunit or a android? If the aim is for a android, i'd suggest you get a pioneer double din headunit unless you are seeking for the features android units offer. You'll never get the audio quality from the nakamichi compared to any pioneer/kenwood hu

secondly, if you're not planning on installing an amp, then i'd definitely suggest to go for a pioneer/kenwood hu be that a single din or a double din

Actually the priority is to get hands on Android player because I lack in filling USB for songs so Youtube will that job for me and this is the only reason I am tilting towards Android head units but I have searched most of the Karachi market and none of them have original Android setups. All have Chinese head units under the rebranding of Lenovo, Nakamichi etc.
Any suggestion in Twin cities since I am here till Saturday's meeting.

karachi market is littered with chinese cheapies that have pathetic sound quality when compared to a Pioneer/KW/Sony Unit. if you're just a basshead who prefers loud music with ill-balanced bass then chinese will do the trick for you. (also, you'll have dish out around 40k for a player that plays youtube seamlessly. the 20-25k ones wont cut it).

Better to get a Pioneer/KW unit that has screen mirroring or android auto. you can easily stream off your phone.

if you're in twin cities, get something from Sound Valley RWP (Shery) or contact the vendors in Peshawar you might get something delivered before the weekend.

I'd still suggest a decent OG hu like the pioneer a275BT or 285BT which have Bluetooth and work flawlessly when it comes to audio streaming. I'm not a fan of android units when it comes to audio quality and you're never really going to enjoy the actual output of those alpine ddl's. 20k will get you something like the Onkyo 1120 or the 1000 which are probably excellent choices when it comes to overall audio quality compared to the other crappy android units and features but you'll always miss out on that last bit of refinement in audio

Get an Android player (if you prioritize android), specifically the xyauto brand, not written on the device but it will show in the System Info in car settings. Model 9250 or 5760b. from Rs. 16,000 to 25,000. These two models have actual DSP chip and has better sound quality in this price range.

Also, YouTube has pathetic sound quality, use YouTube Music, at least you will get 256Kbps ACC quality.

Edit: You'll need 9 inch device.

Big thanks to @devils_smile! Just got my Onkyo Android player from Sound Valley in Rawalpindi. Paired it with Kicker 6x9" speakers and Alpine components, powered by a Kenwood 400w amp.
