its not a CDI - its an electronic ignition system running off a pulse generator and an ignitor to fire the coil.. - A CDI uses a capacitor to charge the coil you dont have that

to the question of alto's coil
The electronic weird shaped new era coil does not require a resistor as its impedance is not low.

All khybers comes with this electronic signal generator+ignitor type distributors also found in alto & old carby cultus

in short man,i appreciate all ur time n replyin me cuz i see half of quries were of me..hehe
i got khyber with some numbr of problems but now got solved.
like first of all air cleaner air leak..tht i solved by still pressure cooker seal cuz fas hasnt sent me the seals but he says he will in few days..
2ndly i got my hiccups prob solved,it was lose alternator,plus i got my battery prob solved,now battery remains full charged..
3rdly i came to knw im not havinhead lights n rad fan idle diaphragm which i still dont have,hehe have to get it but time nae mila abi tak..

n i did yet another fankari brothers..hehe
u knw i was using 2 condenser fans,i put a switch with one fan so only to only keep it running in day time,in night i swith off the button n fan wont kick..hehe..normal button used in homes etc...so now,in nights with ac on n headlights on,alternator dont gets much load,n in morning i can still get my car cooling better by turnin on the button...
n there aint any sorta heatin up issue with installin anothr condenser fan so im keepin it,cuz prob is the ac condenser is located as both pipes enterin n leaving the condenser from compressor r on radiator side n condenser fan was installed on opposite side,cudnt find the way to switch the condenser other way around so had to put anoth fan to get better cooling...

hay is this possible like to switch the car on petrol,adjust rpm with petrol,switch back to gas n adjust CNG rpm frm the screw present on cng kit...cuz tht screw do helps in rpm increase-decrease...tht way car will b tuned on both petrol n cng...
my car is right now tuned to cng so petrol py gari band hoti hy n ive to increase some rpm wen i covert to petrol...
is my statement practical??if not,how both fuels can b set in better shape

I own a khyber 1996. Recently overhauled its engine completely at home by myself except the mechanist part. It has its first oil change at 1100Km yesterday and i am planning to tune it. I have following query for the learned members/experts

Q.1. recommended spark plugs for khyber g-10 on CNG
Q.2. Recommended spark plug gap?
Q.3. Recommended tappet setting Hot/cold?
Q.4. Running was on petrol with Caltex Havoline formula and now i have switched to CNG with Shell helix HX7 10-40W (synthetic) , is shell HX7 ok?

What else should i do or check to get max output and efficiency from my g-10?

you are right, this exactly how it is done.

yup. first tune up on petrol. then just tweak some settings for gas eg. ignition timing advance from distributor and the cng setting itself (the big screw on cng pipe and small screw on the cng kit). dun mess around with too many things such as plug types/gaps and idle rpm screw and other things like that or else it introduces so many variable that it becomes a pain to tune properly for both petrol n cng. keep it simple

ofcourse timing will be disturbed for one or the other unless you are using a spark advancer ye lo, aik aur chez aagae apka demagh pakanay kay liay

iv no idea. we'l have to ask cng guys for that. i think lag sakta hai. if pak suzuki can put it in mehran then we can for sure put it in ur khyber!!!
with advancer u'l be able to have ideal spark timing for both petrol and cng.

Spark Advancer can be fitted on khyber and any other carb. vehicle.See the attachments for details. Landirenzo STAP 00 B is for the carburettor vehicles.
