and how're we supposed to hook up this stap advancer in cars like mine where the ignition coil is INSIDE the distributor? since distro has seals around it, we cant have wires going in and out of the distro....problem!

The electronic weird shaped new era coil does not require a resistor as its impedance is not low.

That coil is really wierd.
A wierd kind of a pyramid type structure.

alternator k KABLAY nechy wala aik missing tha n aik toot gya kal raat ko...so alll battery got drained away cuz i was driving wen this happened..so parked car in nite,got up in morning n fixed it up myself..feeling lyk a hero..hehe
gari k nechay ghuss k 1 ghanta laga kably fix krny may but atlast ho gaey..
nechay angle he nae banta fit krna k bara putha seedha ho k fit kiay..hehe
now abi gari ko dkhaka mar k strt krna hy..hehe
but now atleast alternator is full fixed n solidly fixed..

now back is full time dard kering...alternator ko tight krna b azab he hy,chawal tight he nae hota bari mushkil sy rod sy zor laga k tight kra hy but it got tight atlast

STAP is used to advance ignition timing when shifted to CNG and Retard it when switched to gasoline to maintain proper combustion in cylinders of ur vehicle.

Good & well done bro. it always feel good when you do something by urself and its done. as we people are not professionals and are not used to this kind of labour, our body give away very soon. i did the complete overhaul at home with limited tools and resources, took me five days (3 Leaves from the office) to put it together and with the help of my dad lifted the whole assembly (engine+transmission) out and back in. but my tiredness dispeared when the car started in half self.

When you put your sweat, time and money in the car it never betrays you.
Car is the most loyal thing you can get with some cash and a little Love.

The above is very true, I rebuilt my 2 stroke yamaha RX115 - at home - when I sold this machine recently - it had travelled 120,000 Kms in 9 years, replaced the clutch 3 times and chain 3 times too.. Never gave up on me, it has carried through rough and smooth, easy to hard, road to mountains. And accelerated like a scalded cat too

Never asked for anything else to be renewed or rebuilt. Mostly because I used allen screws on the whole engine crankcase assy, lapped every surface and used threebond 1104 on needed joints.. Followed exact rebuilding standards and specialty created tools. Paid off well, A 2 stroke so troublefree is like fairy dust in Pakistan

i have a yamaha 1984 model which awas japan imported...n believe me its engine was overhauled just once n tht maybe just change of piston n smlall things,its meter is at 47000 + after dclickin a full round..1 lac n 47 k is hell f mileage but yet s can go to 90-100 in no time..
i believe things kept care r lyk dogs,more loyal than anything...

n i have to give it to volta dry battery..i mean in night its generator screw got broken but yet this battery was able to get me home aftr 1 hour drive with half time ac on..head lights tou waisy he on thee as it was nite,i turned off the ac as i was feelin its blow pressure was goin down n meter lights were fadin,but yet it took me home,normal battry wud have died in half way...

i wish i can do the overhauling of engine too..but tht thing requires too many tools n there r lyk million screws n bolts n more screws so cant take a risk...hehe

is there any way to tighten up the calipers??
my cars left caliper vibrates on bumpy roads n tht rattling sound is quite annoyin though its very minute but i wana eliminate this..
changeing is one option talk about the other options..hehe

rebulding an engine is relatively not that hard. Its been about 13 years on my moms's Honda Accord (1986) A16A1 engine, I rebuilt it myself with a few freinds help using oversize pistons and crank bearings, rebuilt the Cyl head myself by hand - derusted the cooling jackets, cleaned out the oiling galleries etc. Rebuilt the whole A/C system too to factory specs

This engine has done 400,000 Kms after the rebuild (4 T belts water pumps and 4 clutches later) - it starts up on first crank everyday till today. All I have to input is there are some points to notice.

Coolant mixture flush every 2 years
Fresh engine oil and MANN filter every 5000 kms
fresh transmission oil every 2 years too
MANN branded air filter replaced every year

Engine is never pressure washed, always washed by hand.. Simple factors that can elongate a car's life by a few magnitudes

plus all piston size,specs n bla bla ,thts too much to handle...
i do the same as u do with accord...like coolant flush ,engine oil change at 3000 n i use normal GUARD filter,dont knw if its original ...i buy it frm kiyani autos thts a renowned shop in pindi n isb...i wonder if they have tht mann or anyother better brand oil filter.
i change air filter at 6000 n i recently changed the gear oil...
but khyber is 1000cc or 993 cc to b specific so its not a car i hope to go to 400k kms cuz its tiny engine will die half way...
all i want is peacefull drive just maybe till 100k kms n then i mite put in some cultus efi engine,tht too i kept the car...

Amazing Job. Rebuilding the head is the fun part but also the most crucial one.

what should be the life expectancy of an engine after the following overhaul

1. Engine Head
   Valve+valve guides (fuji), cam shaft bush, seals (NOK), valve grinding.
2. engine block
   main/beagon bearing (0.50), ring(NPR) /piston(ART) (0.50), genuine cylinder bore (0.50), water body (GMB), oil pump gear set (fuji), timing belt (genuine).

using Zic A (10-40W) and VIC oil filter change after 5000km
Air filter Guard replacing after 10,000km
Coolant caltex Green pre-diluted 50-50.
Fuel : 90% CNG, 10% petrol.

Engine has done 12k km after the overhaul , initial 1k km on petrol and the rest on CNG.

I am hoping for a 100K plus figure.

Sorry for a late response. Calipers can be repared by kharadia, he will fix some plastic bushing in its mountings and it will stop vibrating. Also ensure that the brake pad clips (shown in the pics posted by daniyal) are all present.

Dont forget to grease the bushes and the round rubber boots to cover them.
