No, it does't have heat shield. I bought it for Rs.1300/- with labour. As far as the quality concerned Bukhari is reliable brand.

May be what you bought is way better than this but btw its huge difference more than double

Was that hook used in fitting?
I don't think so there is any hook at front muffler originally in Khyber.

Yes, a rubber hanger is used (generally found near rear dhoolki) which attached this hook to body. It must be there even in original.

Yup in my car rear and middle muffler do have these rubber hangers but the front one doesn't have any.

Yes, Bukhari is a good silencer brand and Rs. 1300/- is a reasonable amount. From where have you bought it?
Actually, I have noticed that in Khyber, the front muffler has the longest life, then comes the middle silencer and then the last one.
I replaced the front muffler of my Khyber after 17 years. The middle one is changed after every 4.5 years roughly and the rear one is changed after every 2.5 years or so.
Therefore, I wanted to buy original front muffler but it wasn't available. After visiting many shops I found that this Steel Pak has the best quality.

After driving an hour or so, the steering of my Khyber becomes very stiff. This happens specially when air conditioner is ON.
What can be the reason? The car has stock manual steering.

I don't think so AC would have any effect on manual steering. (could happen due to heat)
It could be due to the Teflon bush in steering rack i have got mine replaced and now steering is smooth previously it was hard.
OR
Might be the teflon bush adjusting nut needs adjustment.

Both of the front wheels hub (stepney) get hot after few minutes of driving. I just feel it few days ago when I was maintaining air pressure, I cannot even touch it for few seconds.

If it was after some stop start driving which included hard braking then it's ok.
But if it's after some small ride in which brakes are not used that much then it could indicate a problem with free movement of the tyre.
Jack up the car from front and check if front wheels rotate freely.
If there is some problem then first check the brake caliper slider pins and apply some silicone grease on them. Then look for bad or sticky brake calipers pistons. I think these would be the reasons for over heating. Wheel bearings are a different story.

When was the last time you went for brake service?
Get the brakes serviced. Usually it is slider pins.

salam to everyone. I want to know where to find AC filter in my Khyber. when AC or blower is turned on, dust comes out. I want to clean everything. but if filter is easy. first I want to clean or change it. I wanted to open dashboard for duct cleaning but someone told me that opening dashboard may leak AC gas. Is it true? I can't believe it

There is no cabin air filter in khyber.
Removing the dashboard will not effect the AC gas until you also plan to remove the AC Evaporator unit.

Finally brakes service done. New shoe, pads and front disks. As I am trying to tune my car in all aspects. My next target is to change tires. Currently I am using General XP 2000 II 155/80/13 which comes with my ride when I purchased few months back.

I want to switch to 12" size but in this case I also have to bought new rims. Can you guys help me which 13" tires are best suited for Khyber. I heared about 165/65/13 is good for khyber in terms of fuel economy and comfort.

Yup 165/65R-13 would be best suited with 13 inch rims.
BTW The 1.3L Suzuki Swift MK1 used to come with the same size of tyres.

The one with the little rubber boot is the dashpot - which makes the engine decelerate slower (holds throttle open for about half to one second when you leave the accelerator), The one hiding on the bottom slightly near the dashpot in front of the carb is the A/C idle up diaphragm (its connected to the vacuum solenoid on the firewall near the ignition coil). raises rpm when the A/C turns on

The diaphragm sitting nearly flush on top on the left side with a vacuum pipe and a slow valve is the chokebreaker. The big one beneath it is the secondary throttle opener and the one on the back of the carb is the one that raises rpms when you switch on your headlamps or whenever the radiator fans comes on without A/C - its connected to the solenoid beside the carb bolted to the engine mount
