You have the auto dimming or the flipper?

Simple flipper one. It has two angles/positions. One gives you direct back view and the other angle gives you an indirect reflected view.

When the car is at normal working temperature all the heater does is throw cold air; its not even a degree warmer than the outside air.

Yes - this is a hand held vacuum tester. It is really worth owning.

1 blocked heater core
2 rerouted heater pipes
3 no engine thermostat (normal temperature is half needle sweep)

My khyber's temp use to stay at 50% despite direct fan and no thermostat. Mechanic saying something wrong with head. New head is priced at rs 28k. So I was convinced to buy a new engine instead. So for a final try opened the head. Lathe guy surfaced it. Then it went to radio Pakistan for pressure test and it failed the test. The leak was from the water jacket area which was solved by silver welding. Serviced the radiator then added a cheap coolant. Now temp stays at 20%. I am testing its temp for a while now. If it stays at 20% then will add thermostat valve and good quality coolant with auto fan. Let's see

Last summer season my Khyber's head gasket was blown. I replaced it with a new one and mechanic told me that Thermostat valve is faulty, so he removed it.

Before the start of this winter season I installed a kabli thermostat in it. But the car is running cold. Fan is automatic. The temperature gauge keep sitting on C. The gauge is not faulty because if I get stuck in traffic, it rises a little.

The heater of the car is also not working as it used to work. The air it throws is normal air, not cold not hot.

What can be the issue? Can it be due to radiator cap or a very very small leak in the cooling system?
I pour almost a glass of water in coolant reservoir after 2 weeks.

I have a thermostat related problem in my khyber too. I installed a New Genuine Thermostat valve before winters but the problem is car is taking a lot of time to warm up. It takes the car about 15-20 minutes of idling to reach the centre mark, sometimes in 15-20 minutes the car is still below the half mark. If I start driving the car as soon as I start it, it takes almost 4-5 km to reach the centre mark.

The thermostat was checked before installing and it was opening at the right time in boiling water and closing as soon as the stove was turned off. I opened the radiator cap to see if the coolant was flowing with cold engine but it was not, it means the thermostat is working fine. What can be wrong? Can this be due to faulty connection of heater pipes?

I have seen the new car take a maximum of 5 minutes to warm up while idling.

Where is the heater core located and what should it look like? I don't have a maintenance manual for khyber so i don't know how the pipes are connected.
On cold morning start, i opened the radiator cap and on inserting a finger i felt the coolant eventually rise in temperature. There was no surge of hot coolant which leads me to believe the thermostat is stuck open. How do i remove the thermostat? I tried opening two bolts where i thought the tstat was located(near carb) but nothing happened.

Remove the rubber pipe. Then lift up the part from where you have removed these two nuts. Thermostat valve is present inside this cavity.

The heater core is under the dash and the pipes are connected to it from the engine bay. Check the pipes are connected to the heater and not bypassed.

You have to strike slightly the upper part of the t-stat valve housing to open it. You should have a new gasket for it. I think it is possible to install it upside down. You can check the operation by putting it in the boiling water.
