Sep 2-4&10-14 2011: Kaghan Valley; A trip to 12 Lakes & Preparation trek of Miranjani

We had booked a high-roof van and everyone gathered at my home.

Departure time was around 1 a.m. and we were planning to reach Islamabad Interchange by 6 in the morning through motorway.

Yup that was one of the main reasons to go for Canon.

How is Pentax in night / low light photography?

My earlier K100d is ok but this Kr is probably the best in its category in low light performance. ISO range 200-12800 and expandable to 25600.

So naive to tell us that we will reach Naran in 7 hours hehe

Add another 9 hrs to it and then it seems realistic

We have done only two trips without each other. He missed Kaghan trip in 2008 and i missed Thandiani-Nathia Gali in same year otherwise so far we have done more than a dozen trips together and have enjoyed with lots of fun n good memories

He got food poisoning on Day 1 so missed the treks this year.

The night journey on motorway was quite monotonous and boring with everybody in the back seats sleeping.

I tried to kill time with some photography

Just after Kalar Kahar, the sky started to turn bright and blue hour started

[aesiege]

The pre-sunrise atmosphere was quite wonderful and these were the actual colour tones captured by the camera

Others r still sleeping.

No traffic at all and we were cruising at the speed of "80" :S
