I went to mechanic and he adjusted the throttle idle screw of my car, actually he tightened it. Since then car's fuel consumption has increased (on local it dropped from 15 to 12. As we all know Mehran doesn't have RPM meter. How can I set the idle screw for max. mileage?
best bet is to check another mehran with unaltered idle screw, count the thread and adjust accordingly, the other methods to adjust it back to factory settings are not so easy,
@hotcoderClose your throttle plate completely by using that screw. And adjust your TPS (throttle position sensor) with multimeter according to factory service manual. First of all, Figure out the TPS voltage at closed position and wide open position from service manual.
I don't have any meter. I can do it totally manually.
You can buy multimeter from any electrical store.
Just use your instincloose it totally and then set it at the lowest point where the engine doesnt stalls
ok, then I have to learn to use multi-meter too
ok I will try it
