Kindly I wanna Ask some questions here??

What about the Owners of 8th and 9th Gen Civics. How are these running with 3rd and 4th Owners? 80 % plus 8th Gen and 60% plus 9th Gen?

I have found most of them having random Issues like steering assembly/ Cat Con/ Spark Plugs premature life/ Prosmatech transmission hunting/ Power Pump/Rack and pinion seals/ front mounting/AC Blower/power pump piping leakages etc...

Heard Corolla Altis 1.6 and Grande 1.8 too struggling with Cat Cons and Irridium Spark plugs with issue of premature replacement between 25 to 35k kms..... You all might know but to remind you all that its compression ratio is less than Civic T and N A.
Steering Column assembly is also an issue coming frequently in Corolla especially Autos.....1.6 & 1.8 (personally experienced in my Grande which i fear will reflect more in FL Corolla Altis due to being stiffer as Toyota says in its manual)

Guys another update is, a colleague of mine abusing his newly delivered Xli, started surging at 9k kms found his spark plugs deteriorated too early. He is literally abusing with big mouth on those drivers who says Spark plugs of Corolla lasts till 30 to 40k kms....
Although the copper spark plugs are cheap in price.....

Different problems will continue to persist in different cars regardless of Brand if the fuel issue is not resolved....

On a side note, since we know Turbo does not handle our local petrol variety well, has anyone tried installing CNG and running the beast on it? No harm in trying, right?

If that was true then bmw mercedes and audi would had also halted selling their cars . Fuel might be of not good quality but Honda is overblowing the issue .

have Mercedes e250 at home which knocks quite more than civic turbo after civic got update using same petrol on both and point to note both were running perfectly before this bloody petrol update drama. civic turbo drama is more because its budget car compared to those Germans and in ratio 10:1 so automatically being local also any wrong thing will have ten times more impact voice and uprisings.

I have 8th gen (2012) Oriel Prosmatec. 71K driven, i'm the 3rd owner and got the car when it was 35K on the Odo.

So far, the cat-con got badly choked recently at 70K, got it cleaned and acceleration now is even better than when i got it (35K Odo).

Steering is quite hard I have to say, sometimes takes a little more effort to turn in lock to lock.

Economy is good right now doing around 8-9 km/l with a quite heavy foot. With light foot, i've got 10.5-11 in the city.

Rest everything is good so far (including mounting, AC, electronics, etc.).

could there be an issue with the Torque Converter as well?
Can some Turbo owner comment on it with relatively high miles on the odo!

Bro, if you search my old posts in the CivicX owners forums - I never denied knocking when it was there. But now it's been like 4.5k kms since software update. So far so good. I still have the factory plugs that I replaced at 15k, just for the heck of it. Dare anyone to try them and tell me if they aren't OK!

Big catch? I cant think of using any fuel other than Excellium. Car might work on some other fuel, but I'm just not willing to give it a go.
