once when i was driving towards uni my car(mehran) all of a sudden stopped n cudnt start!, after 5 min of no response i checked da engine but everything seems fine to me, no burning smell etc etc i checked below da engine of any leakage n saw drops coming out near the rear left side of wheel n to my horror i saw a small crack on fuel filter n fuel leaking out drop by drop! cudnt find any mechanic nearby n no one helped me out! kept thinking of how to resolve this issue! then i saw a guy taping his ball which gave me an idea n quickly went to the da store nearby n bought a electric tape n taped the fuel filter! started smoothly as if nothing happened

This happened to my uncle once. He was driving his mehran and its fan-belt broke. There was very little traffic on the road and the mechanic/ spare parts availability was atleast 20km away. He pulled a spare drawstring (Naraa) from a spare suit that he had with him and used it as a fan belt... It worked like a charm

Once my mehran's rubber part of fuel pipe cracked and broke on motorway.... towed the car to near by interchange to a desi ustad gee and there was no light and no same pipe so I asked him to find a 5-6 inch piece of some larger pipe ...so he did found one... then I asked him to insert both ends of broken pipe to this large pipe and it was fine and worked for 4-5 days...
Then I replaced both the rubber pipes and fuel filter with new.

Bhai me kab keh rha hoon apko nhi pata :P.... Me he kaha log alternator belt KO bhi fan belt bolty hain so you will hear same term even for cars having electrical fans.

yes, both of you are right... and here is example why...

I asked my mechanic to change the "a broken belt" under the hood of my sx8. He said "apki teen fan belts replace kerni parangi".. I asked 3 fan belts?he said yes, 1 for AC, 1 for alternator and 1 for power steering. all are in bad condition.
So i guess they call all those belts as fan belt.

That's my point...even all belts have different names and radiator fan is electrical not mechanical but STILL you will hear fan belt for each and every belt found under the hood

Well was just reading and came across your post...

For steakers and tape residue (left over glue marks) use vinegar and water mixture with a ratio of 25% vinegar and 75% water... And spray it on the affected spot and clean the surface with a piece of cloth (may have to rub hard sometimes as the stains and glue can be too hard or too sticky) that will do the job and ot will not harm the body or surface too.

You can also concentrate the mixture a bit .more say by 50% water and 50% vinegar for real stuffy and sticky glue marks.

It works for me EVERY SINGLE time..

Another totka: back in 2008 i was in karachi, getting my car's oil changed at PSO near KPT interchange, the oil change guy was makraani (if you are from karachi, you know them) so he was changing the oil of a mehran and the oil came out to be very very dark, he suggested the owner to get the engine flushed or else he gonna have to change the oil pretty soon for at least 2 to 3 times to get remains of black oil completely out, the owner agreed to pay 300 rupees extra for engine flushing including the engine flush product & mazdoori. i was anxious to see which engine flush does he has that he gonna use and 300 is pretty cheap no doubt about that, but as expected it turned out to be a DESI TOTKA he mixed 1 liter diesel and 1 liter Khulla Oil (dont remember exact ratios), put it into the engine, started engine, idle for i guess few minutes and taken out, the mixed thing which he used came out to be very dirtier and he claimed that engine is better then before now.

P.s. please dont use these totkas, they will ruin your car.

Bro i sold a car in 2003. EE90 88 Corolla re conditioned and in mint condition. A mechanic bought it on behalf of his friend. He tried flushing the engine using same method and next day i was visiting the same workshop area and i was shocked to see a big hole in the engine block.

Probably a piston broke through the block and engine was totally ruined.

never do any such flushing with the engine.

Another incident where my friend used to use liqui moly engine flush at regular intervals in his 2.0D. His engine got low on power and he complained about over heating and had to sell the car.

Ow hell it is not true man...

Distilled water and A.c water are total opposites....

I my self have ruined 2 batteries that costed me 25K in a year by just putting that freaking A.c water in the. Batteries..
No distilled water? Go for a filtered water or at least tap water but never that A.C water man...

Ac water is actually the next best thing after distilled water as it is condensed water.
There can be problems if it is contaminated due to dedris from a/c or the pipe or the container in which it is collected.

Well,
For you the details are,

I used two different AC's water in two different batteries (both of AGS) One at my home one at my office. And the AC's were one Mitsubishi and other was Sabro...
Both my batteries were purchased same day and both ended up in just 9 months and 12 days and 9 months and 23 days each..

We all together bought three batteries two for me and one for my cousin... My cousin's one still working he used tap or Filtered water to top up the batteries.

I have been using batteries for UPS and car for last 10 years each of my battery goes almost 3 to 3.25 years on average this particular case was the first and only one that my batteries lasted even lest than a year...

I hope that would clear alot if queries in your mind about my usage of batteries.. And why i highly don't recommend using AC water for topping up the batteries ever...
