Shock Obsorber oil leak?

I was feeling some noise from a rear shock of my cultus for some days. Today i consulted with a experienced friend who told me the that oil from the shock has drained.

I wonder if it is possible and what is the remady ? Your openion plz. Which oil is used in the shock obsorbers.

You Need A Set Of New Ones Or Repair Them BUT Getting New Japanese One Are Recommended For Long Time Running...Else You Need To See Mechanics Face After Some Month As Oil Filled Repaired Won't Last More Than 8-10 Months

don't repair them in my opinion shocks should not be repaired.if you will repaired them they will hardly served you 6-8 months.so go for brand new Japanese shocks they will serve you years as compared to the repaired one the choice is yours

Well, i was told that i just need to re-fill the oil as shock is ok.

the only way is to repair them is to cut the shocks fill the oil and then weld them (this is the pakistani way) the refilling oil is not like refilling the engine oil or like a gear oil i hope you got my point

Repaired or re filled Shock Absorbers are not the solution, unless your budget does not allow u to buy new ones. Trust me, you will end up spending more than what new Shock absorbers cost, only the money will be spent in installments
If you choose to repair, than go to someone with good reputation, such as the Veteran Modern Auto near Mongomery road.

^^ totally agreed with above.I have a terrible experience with oil filled shocks.You end up spending more on it and yet it has no guarantee.I think the original shocks of cultus are Air-filled,correct me if im wrong.And if your car has oil filled shocks chances that are already repaired.

Get new ones or if budget is tight get Kabli ones.

Welding oil filled shocks is suicidal. And besides, a shock that isn't meant to be rebuilt will not last after a rebuild. Best buy new.

p.s. Even if one showk is suspect, change both. Otherwise, your suspension wouldn't be "balanced".
