last week i was attending a conference in Quaid-e-eazam university if Islamabad so i decided to visit Simli dam after a long time. i found that place to be in great shape. the main spillway and auxilary spillway both sides are good. there r no ppl there and it was very peaceful and quite.
i am attaching some low quality pics as i didnt have my camera .....i recommend this plce instead of the overcrowded rawal lake and Shahdra etc.....

Nice pictures your eye can and present us the beauty of nature.
It is a nice and very less crowded place. Lake side BBQ will be great there. Also the trip can be combined with the Karor village tour to witness the beautiful mountain drops I have heard that it shows there too never witnessed. All this is within the 40km radius of Islamabad.

two routes......
1- from islamabad to barakouh. turn right in the main bazar road and just follow it till u reach the dam. lots of milestones are there.....2- nilore to ban karor side just b4 the bridge u can turn left on a small road. dam is just 5 mins from there........
nai yar its a very nice place commly log isay mathi jaga he samgtay hain but that is y i have uploaded my short trip here kay its a fun place to be....

v good.. ive been there many times and never ava been disappointed..yet to see bun karor.. heard its good but may b not dat safe to travel towards that area..deserted roads n all..any1 been there..any pics?distance?road conditions?
ban karor is safe imo and its beautiful too.i have traveled many times through this route.only problem is no transport after sunset.btw can anyone tell me,is it possible to do a trek from bun karor to old murree?if it is possible then please share details.Thanks
