Should I buy Chery QQ?

Hi Everyone,

Please help me decide, should I buy Chery QQ ?.
I want reliability and comfortibility in not so high budget. I found no other option suitable than having a chery QQ. What you guyz suggest ?

its very good car in the price tag that i has but pakistani market prefers a car that is cheap and easy to maintain as due to the roads here and the hot environment vehicles has to be really fit to be on roads. however i have heard from a cherry dealer that cheverlet parts fits well to cherry.
but bear in mind to ordinary mechanic on road side could be able to fix your cherry if it gets out of order...

Well my uncle has it and heres what i have to say abt it..

Its an excellent car and fits both your criteria of reliability and comfort.Its all very economical with very low fuel consumption.But bare in mind that it is very unsafe and a simple collision could have serious injuries.

i disagree about the safety bit. QQ is a v. safe car - i have seen crashed QQs at my mechanic's (Perfect Chery) at 60 and 100km/hr and according to him the occupants survived. QQs metal is tough and body feels heavy as well.
However QQ is not as reliable as Jap cars. I've so far had to overhaul mine's engine (just 85k km driven) because of use with CNG. so if you plan to buy QQ dont run it on CNG and you might get long life out of it. Otherwise my car has no sounds or other issues.

Yeah if you compare it to pakistani cars then it is 50% safer,but japanese cars are much much safer then the qq.BTW could you tell me the consumption of qq on petrol?

@OBII: I have got to know that Chery QQ's engine overheats quite often ?.. is that true ???. Please reply ASAP.

Chery has no known issues of over heating. We have had one for 4 years and Alhamdolillah, no issues.

Before you even think about it, check the specs of both cars, quality of Cuore and the prices of both as well.

@Proverbial_Slang: One of my friend has chery QQ, his chery QQ overheated for about 3 times in a year. I have read somewhere on internet that one has to be very careful about its radiator water level. My friend is driving it on CNG. Are you driving it on CNG ???

apologies for the late reply but been busy at work.

My QQ does about 430km/33L of petrol in Lahore without AC.

partially - basically the 800cc engine does run a little hot on petrol but what kills it here is our hot climate combined with CNG (Natural Gas has a higher calorific value (heat of combustion) than gasoline). In my case engine needed overhauling after 70k driving on CNG, needless to say i've sold off the CNG kit and running it purely on petrol now.

i own a chery 2006 ... i was having issues with fuel pump ... i went to pak korea ijp road they put in the fuel pump assembly of chevrolet joy in it .. now the problem is that fuel guage is incorrect and secondly most important fuel mileage is very very poor it is only giving me 6 to 7 kmpl ... i need help if there is some one who can tellme which alternate fuel pump should i use for chery qq .. help would be much appreciated
