Should i Buy Cultus Ags Brand new or Honda city used

Aoa friends ...need honest opinion ...I have a budget of almost 21 or 22 lac and Should i Buy Cultus Ags Brand new or Honda city (manual) used (5 to 6 years old) . Which option is better ?

City is a bigger car buddy with more luggage & storage space, and its fuel economical as well. AGS cultus is a jerky machine. Rest your choice.

Personally I would buy a 10th generation corolla gli 1.6 auto or altis 1.6 in this range.

Those who like or have Cultus will suggest cultus and city owners/fanboy will suggest city, I believe you should decide as per your requirements

City is family compact sedan - Bigger cabin & trunk, good fuel economy and third class suspension, but if you are travelling is on good roads and Motorway only then will serve the purpose.

Cultus: New car always have its benefits, but cultus AGS have many reported problem of transmission heatup, The other thing is, very low quality body material, it will start rusting in one year.

Cultus doesn’t have any problem(s)of ‘transmission heat up ‘ , people who are stubborn and don’t learn how to operate AGS overtime damage it. It gives a far better average than city , I’ve seen people getting 18 with Ac. Yes true cultus has a slighter weaker body than city but no it doesn’t start to rust over a year even if it’s left unattended. A brand new car is always a better option.

Good luck. I personally always remove City from my list after I drove a 1.5 top of the line brand new City in 2015. The suspension is unbelievably hard!

Yes but odometer reversing is so common that almost every car that is up for sale, be it 5 years old or 20 years old is somehow less than 100,000km.

If you can find a good car and in the same price, City is better value of money. Cultus AGS is a good car and a good choice, it's just that it is not worth 2.1 million. Also, after the recent revision in FED, there is likely to be a reduction in price, so lower price makes Cultus a better option.

Saga is a good option. Alsvin, well its Chinese, so my suggestion is to let it run on the roads for at least a year, and then consider it based on buyers' experience.

I have driven 1.3 manual myself and average was 11km/l in city with ac.1.6 auto give similar mileage

I would also suggest City. City's combination of weight disitribution plus interior and exterior looks plus the smooth drive plus its gear (if manual - I absolutely love shifting city's gears. The sound it makes is just chef's kiss). City, IMO, is just a better car overall. Yes, it won't give you the average you get from Cultus but other than that - city is really nice.

Also, not sure where you live but if you live in Karachi then yes City's suspension might give you backaches but if you live in a city other than Karachi then City's suspension won't give you any problems.

Cultus is also a good car. But City is in a different league altogether I believe - more future proof as a family car.
