Should I convert from normal geyser to instant water geyser?

We have a habit of using the geyser all year round but with the new tarrifs we are getting bills of 15k average since Jan.

I was thinking I should just remove the old standard geyser and install a 15L instant geyser for the 3 washrooms. The 3 washrooms are adjacent (upar neechay aur side) from the outside of the house so will installing a 15L instant geyser solve the problem?

We use showers in all 3 washrooms but the use of more than one washroom simultaneously is very rare so at one time only one washroom will be in use.

You will have to install instant geyser in each bathroom separately.

Some people try to have one instant for all the bathrooms. That's bad.

Anyway you will also need good ventilation in each bathroom. Plus I think you also need a dedicated water tap that comes out of the instant geyser. Can't mix water. And have to wait a bit for water to get hot.

I don't think it'll be a good idea. What you can instead try is that device which gas companies sell which increase geyser efficiency. Your geyser might also be wasting too much energy. Try to get a new and efficient gas geyser.

They're good for whole house and all the bathrooms.

Your info regarding separate instant geyser for each bathroom is correct. Install a geyser outside your washroom and connect with hot line. No need for separate tap for it. Also, instant is instant meaning it turns on with your tap and provides hot water in seconds

I have faced some issues in the past where the hot water took about 30-40 seconds to start. Maybe installation issue.

if installed at ground level plenty of waste water before warm water reaches the farthest end.

in islamabad we have installed a custom built upright geyser of common shape 24 inches below the overhead water tank. We made an insulated glass wool wooden cabin around the geyser. replaced all GI water lines with PVC lines.

also added Solar water heater at roof top. It heats the water all day keep the gas geyser thermostat off. Gas geyser consume gas only at night to maintain sun light heated water.

it feeds 6 +1 bathrooms & 2 kitchens very well.

What problems would be there if you connect 2 washrooms to it but use one washroom at a time?

Geyser right next to the bathroom would be a more efficient way of utilizing heated water. In case of multiple bathrooms, there is bound to be a distance, water needs to travel from geyser to tap so you would not get hot water instantly. Also bigger capacity geysers would be required for serving multiple bathrooms. I think bigger geysers have more burners and require more gas pressure to operate compared to smaller ones. During winters, this could be an issue with low gas pressure.

do it only an only if you can handle the periodic maintenance of instant gas water heater ,,,,,,, use one big size water heater ,,,,,, and fit a pressure booster pump with it ,,,,,in that way you might even no need to descale it ,,,,,,,,otherwise it will be a permanent headache for you,,,,,, smaller one are waste of time and money ,,,,try find 12Ldelux instagas if its still available ,,,,,,, last year i check with there factory in lahore and they update me that this model is not in production now ,,,,, may be you can find it from shop in there unsold stock as this model is huge and expensive and very very less people understand and buy it ,,,,,,, i have 3 of these units fitted in my home for last more then 15 years and all fitted with one pressure pump and each unit for one washroom ,,,,,,,, but one unit can be used for entire house ,,,,,,,,,

We installed a 10L instant geyser first time in 2007 for 4 wash rooms in a 5 marla house in place of the conventional one. That house has all the pipes of 0.75 inches so it serves without any problem for 5 years. After that we shifted the house and the new house has mix wiring of 0.75 inches and 0.5 inches of pipes, then we face problems due to pressure drop so 2 ground floor wash rooms remains connected to the same geyser and we install new 5L models for first floor wash rooms separately.
After installation of instant geyser in 2007 our gas bill dropped to Rs.150 to 200 instead of Rs.1500.
The 2007 model geyser is still serving us till now.
