Should I install a new infotainment system in new Corolla 2018 GLi AT?

1.I want to know whether this is classified under electrical modification?
2.I also want to know from the experience of someone who had done it. What are your thoughts and what infotainment system (including navigation of Pakistan) will you guys recommend?

I have changed my system in 1.8 Grande 2018. I am happy with that. Fast reliable and it plays every garbage that you feed it. Missing inner camera, remote control and may be Toyota app. Sygic is your offline solution to maps and navigation and if you are on wifi Google maps is always there.

Thanks @tkokab. Can you point out the system that you installed, possibly a link to it and the price? Will be really helpful. Also please let me know whether doing so will void the Warranty?

This is Chinese system as the one originally installed is also Chinese.
This one is 2GB Ram and 64GB Rom. 2 Tier system, main system is the box which is screw tight like the original one.
Display screen is separate with the frame. I am attaching pics for your reference.
It cost me Rs. 45,000 with speakers also changed.
About warranty I don't know much as when I took for first service Toyota did not mention anything about it.
I think the warranty would be void for infotainment system, as the new one is plug and play with 3 USB ports and all the other goodies that installed system does not offer.

Haroon Radio is good, they’ve good plenary of experience under the belt. However, they might be able to guide you to someone in Lahore. I just know this one guy Entertainment on Wheels. Never visited them or purchased anything. But I heard they have a wide variety of all kinds of car audio stuff. Alternatively in Rawalpindi I guess Sound Valley is the place to go? Other members might be able to guide us better. Try searching the ICE Section

Hi can u tell which after market u have installed in ur grande.
Whats the model of ur car?
What are the specs of the HU which u have got from market?
Is it working with multimedia steering. Is sound change and track changing working with new HU

I have got new grande and the system is pathetic. After complain dealership called me and checked my system and said all of them have same specs. We can change ur HU but i refused as all of them are of same specs and the new might be worse. I am thinking to get aftermarket one.

Its 2018 Grande dont exactly know the model of the unit.
Its 2GB RAM 32GB ROM, its better than installed one everything works including steering controls.
Installed since a year or so no complaints.
But if you search in the market there would be more new options available as my unit is a year old.

It's faster than original.
It supports back and front camera.
There is no heating issue on long drives I have played it for hours.
I cant tell you the difference in both variants as I only have Grande.
I installed branded Hertz speakers, no sense of installing inferior one than the installed.
No amp just the system and speakers.

Any modification which is done other than the dealership and/or indus will void warranty. Whatever the case
