Should I install Denso Ac in Suzuki Mehran 2016 VX Euro II in 2023

As you all know that nowadays the weather is extremely hot all over Pakistan, so I am thinking to install Ac in my Mehran 2016 (I am the first owner). I am from Lahore and went to my mechanic to get a quote for the total AC installation he takes me to his friend who is USTAD in installing AC. He gave me the price of 85 thousand and at this price, he will install a brand new original DENSO AC (not the Chinese one) and he will install a Toyota Duet compressor (KABULI).

The USTAD G is saying the AC will work fine and there will be no problem even in this hot weather of Lahore. I ask him about the throw of the AC as I heard the throw and cooling of Mehran is not good for the family. He said both of these things will be good because he will install genuine AC, not Chinese one and he will install original gas. Also, the Toyota Duet compressor is optimal for Mehran because it will not put a load on the car and help in an efficient throw.

I need suggestions from you guys on whether should I install AC in this amount which is 85 thousand (if everything is genuine). What is your experience with DENSO AC? Are you satisfied with its cooling on short & long journeys? Am I getting scammed or prices are actually that high?

Note 1: I know USTAD G is a genuine person because last year I went to him and pay him in advance to install AC but because of import issues he said that genuine AC was not available in the market and he will not install Chinese one for me. Also, he is my mechanic friend so In Sha Allah he will not do any kind of fraud.

Note 2: Allhumdullilah my car is in very good condition. It is giving a very good fuel average and the drive is also very good. It's only 47 thousand driven since 2016. Mentioning this, just to be clear that there is no issue with the engine, and the car is totally driven on petrol. CNG was never installed.

Note 3: 85 thousand is a huge amount for me and I am hoping that the AC will provide good cooling for me and my family as I travel in the motorway from Lahore to Islamabad twice a year during this hot season and it's very difficult to drive. In long journeys, Mehran Euro II AC works fine?

To give you an idea. I paid 85-87 k for cultus 2001 model AC system with following specs:

Denso compressor original, new
Denso condenser coil
Denso cooling lines
Sanden cooling coil
Original dryer

Sir, I saw the topic you mentioned but the conversation seems very long.
Can you summarize what system you install in your car and how was the result?
Also, I see in your topic that you call a guy and he told you that a multi-flow condenser isn't good for Mehran. Can you please tell me if the condenser in the Denso unit is multi-flow or not?

It seems like I am getting a fair price then. Because everything is brand new and genuine, the compressor will be Kabuli only.

get multiflow condensor. do not opt for serpentine condensor.

i got denso inner AC unit and duet compressor.

Combination works well and no over heating issues IN SHA ALLAH.

Dear Member, Duet Kabuli compressor is also made by Denso, There is aftermarket complete set for Mehran available by Sanden, do check that, bolt to bolt fitting and original by Sanden Company, something like this

In think this complete set will cost less than 85K,

Sanden and Denso AC unit has one difference as i remember. there is an option to allow fresh air in Denso and not in Sanden if i am not wrong.

otherwise both are ok and good. your personal preference.

Does the Denso AC unit have a Multiflow condenser?
Apart from overheating how is your experience with AC? Does it really give AC feel or just "thandi hawa"?

Ustad G (AC wala) told me that SANDEN unit put load on Mehran and DENSO will is best for it.
And yes! you are right, sanden is a bit cheaper than Denso

scroll or rotary compressor will put less load as compared to Piston based compressor.

if he is talking about the compressor than you have already opted for the correct rotary denso duet compressor. it should be fine.

In my opinion, do not go ever for Kabuli/ Refurbished/ Reconditioned/ Used compressor (Different names of same thing).

Buy Sanden packed up unit specially designed for Mehran(if each and every component is new one).

I got DENSO AC unit installed in my new Mehran back in 2015 and I used that Mehran for 3years, AC performance was very very good and car didn't get any heat issue in those 3yrs. I was completely satisfied with DENSO AC.
