Should I purchase Khyber 1997 model in 2019?

I want to purchase Khyber. Is it right decision to buy 1997 model Khyber in 2019, 22 years old car?
I have budget of 250000.

if you go for neat and clean car then it will cost you 4 to5 lacs
so you can imagine
never ever go for rusty car
first check the car and documents thoroughly then go ahead no hurry at all

I have a 93 Khyber, I took me months to find it and I have it for about two years now. And in this duration I have only done the basics nothing major. It is about how good the car car is when you are buying it.

When I bought her, she was and still is only on petrol, with recently changed suspension bushes and fluids. When I took her home, I changed all the fluids, took it to factory specs, repaired the AC, some small electrical issues, serviced the brakes and got new tyres that it nothing major. Costed me a bit more for a 93 but still working as a daily driver.

I have found one khyber 97 model. Outer is shower, inside Geniune. It is not in running since 5-6 months. Types are new with alloy rims. Engine is ok, suspension is also OK. Cng cylinder is fitted. Ac compressor is missing, condensor is available. Seats needs to be refilled with new foam with new covers. There is some rust due to not in running condition and rain water (outside parking). Owner is ready to sale in 220000.
Should I go for it. How much amount I should expect to get fixed all necessary things including AC?

rust is common in old cars.
you will never find neat and clean car in this budget range
ready for expenses
try to check any good mechanic and then make a complete report
also check Pak wheels or olx car inspection service if they offer

ac performance is dependent on engine condition so leave it plan next summer
main expenses are
tire
battery
lubes
wheel alignment and balancing
body and engine condition
first make a complete report and then take market estimate and bargain as you car

Bhai if the car is standing for months and you are willing to buy it, then be prepared. Below I am giving you the "to do list" after buying it:

1. Changing all the seals in the engine.
2. Most probably water is being used as coolant so the water pump has to be changed.
3. All fluids need to be changed.
4. Radiator needs servicing.
5. Brakes need servicing probably the rear shoes need to be changed.
6. All the bushes in the suspension most probably have become soft means those need to be changed
7. Tyre have now become flat spotted since it is standing in the same position and now required to be changed.
8. Probably the fuel tank needs to be washed and cleaned else that requires a change.
9. Electrics will require an inspection.
10. Engine tuning.
11. AC as you mentioned
12. Then you seats

I am listing this before even seeing the car Bhai. 220000 is alot. Bargain the guy and if he settle for 170 go ahead and buy it. Use the rest of the money to do the above.
I am absolutely not discouraging you. I am putting forward a point as I had my lancer staying for some time and had to goo through all this. Best of luck.
