Should i upgrade from Vitz 2003 First Generation to Vitz 2013 Third Generation?

I know that this issue is discussed on forums already.

I am basically looking for advise of Vitz 3rd Generation owners.

I have Vitz 2003. I love it. I have enjoyed its drive and comfort. It's a neat and clean car.

Due to Vitz 2003 1st Generation experience, I want to upgrade to Vitz 2013. The reason is to move on new model for better looks, new technology, fuel efficiency and specially low maintenance.

I had purchased Vitz 2003 after research on PakWheels forums. The research had paid and my decision was good.

Now when i have done research on Vitz 2013 3rd Generation.

Major Issues are reported:

• Engine Noise

• Engine Vibration

• Sluggish CVT

Does engine noise and vibration disturbs inside car cabin?

If engine noise is that much disturbing, why 1000s of Vitz 3rd Generation we see on roads?

People who own Vitz 2011-2014 3rd Generation. Please guide me so that i do not throw out my hard earned money.

I do not want to regret.

People who own Vitz 1.3 (1300cc) 2006-2010 2nd Generation guidance is also appreciated.

I love Automatic Drive so Manual is not an option.

It will make noise if you rev hard, press a bit hard on the pedal.

For soft acceleration, there will be hardly any noise, not much at all. Noise also depends on the kind of tires you're using.

Vibration might be there on IDLE, for 1,000CC.

CVT, 1000cc will not be a powerhouse. For most purposes acceleration is just fine, but you might feel it if you come from 1300CC or above. Or a non-CVT. Unless you want to race, it's fine. It can climb mountains just fine too like murree / galiyat in S.

If you only want to upgrade for looks, go for it.. I don't know how economy of 1st gen is.

First generation fuel average is 13km/l city and 18km/l highway with AC.

What's fuel average of third generation. There are different figures on the forum.

What about spare parts prices?

Masha Allah your 1st Gen Vitz fuel average is very good.
How much ODO reading is ?
in 3rd Gen Vitz, you will get almost same fuel average (+1 or +2 more maximum)
If every thing is fine with your current Vitz, then no need to switch to Vitz again.
(Consider Aqua if you have budget)
I have seen some people who upgraded the engine to 1.3L and according to them its very good experience. Please search other threads of Pakwheels forum

I like Aqua but Aqua has some serious issues:

1. Leg Room issue.

Can 3 adults travel for long journey in Aqua without leg room disturbance?

1. Aqua spare parts are very expensive. Might be they are not easily available in Multan city.

2. In small city like Multan, mechanics are not well educated and trained. So you have very limited choice for mechanics. Toyota service care is very expensive.

Then 3rd gen will also have similar fuel efficiency.

Do you want to upgrade just for "looks" ? I would not recommend it.

Better get 1.3 L then for more power (but economy might be just a bit less). Or Honda Fit, can consider it..

@mgalaxy3 Not just looks. You have cleared my mind about CVT in your first reply.

I don't drive car more than 90km/h due to safety reasons. We should think about our children while driving fast.

I have decided to go for Vitz 1.0 2015 3rd Generation. Insha'Allah.

Reasons:
. Good looks
. Fuel efficient
. Low maintenance
. Value for money
. * Can keep it for long time

I hate bank car lease due to interest (sood). I decided 5 years ago that I will reach to new car step by step. Alhumdulillah now I am very close to my goal. I am very happy about my decision and blessings of Almighty Allah Raheem.

I have 2015 vitz 1.0 & its very gud hatchback.. fuel average is 14 to 15 and cabin noise is very low.... if u accelerate quickly then u will feel noise of engine otherwise there is no sound...

14 km/l with ac in city.... didnt drive on highway till now.. and it would be around 16.5 to 17 lacs..
