We all know that there are considerably restrictions placed on buying imported used cars. Showrooms and dealers are using gift scheme and using someone else's passport in importing cars. My question is that should we buy unregistered JDM knowing that the vehicle is imported only through utilizing the loopholes in the allowed schemes when commercial imports are restricted. Dealers give their opinion that "puri dunya chala rahi hai". I love JDM cars but really concerned if such a car hold high level of regulatory risk when commercial imports are not allowed. However, at the same time I want seniors to advise if I am getting concerned too much and buying an unregistered JDM car from a credible dealer will not going to be a huge issue. After all, thousands of JDM every month are imported and registered by paying all the duties and taxes.
