you forgot to calculate the actual bill of electricity as the KwH tarrif in Pakistan is staged against the consumer. and I dont think there is any remote chance of a supercharger or tesla charger station on any public roadway in Pakistan anytime in the future.

You forget that Pakistan is still stuck with jerry rig transport and stupid monstrosities like qingqi ricksha.... and the everpresent cd70 with family of 2+4

Firstly someone above has already calculated an estimate. Next, other costs of maintenances on oils etc are removed. They have lifetime​ warranties on new cars. Next, the price ends up being more economical and experience more luxurious. Also people who import expensive cars as above stated and a few common people can also import these cars. They aren't very expensive. They don't need very long charging unless you take full round trips of Karachi and then come home to charge after a fully depleted battery.

Pakistan is 50 years behind in automotive world, they cannot even get a simple emmissions regulations passed let alone a structure for electric cars.. Is there any recent update to the safety mandate of passenger vehicles in Pakistan or any game changing move recently done which everyone else doesnt know about?

btw - warranties wont work in Pakistan - if they were working Indus motors would be offering a 100,000 kms powertrain warranty like they do in the USA, do they?? Or do snap on tools come over and exchange your broken sockets and spanners free of charge in Pakistan?

Not really a good idea of importing such a car to Pakistan at the moment. Even regular petrol powered super cars need better fuel than that is available in Pakistan so for now personally if i had the money I'd rather get abenz or something like that which doesn't require fuel that is unavailable in Pakistan.

Tesla is not for Pakistan atm.
electric car owner rewarded/benefited by the govt for keeping environment friendly car in Norway and above all there street charging facility is free for all electric car owners. Norway is there biggest client. How cool is that?
We are suffering from multiple hours of load shedding, how would we charge it? Solar panels another expense? Aren't we buying tesla to minimize the cost and keeping our country green and clean.
lets be realistic and optimistic on this topic.

Someone spending a few million on importing the car should easily be able to spend two or three lack rupees in setting up a solar system in their house solely for the purpose of charging the car.. That would actually kill all the reasons you stated above because this would obviously provide the owner with virtually unlimited FREE fuel for the rest of their lives.. how does that sound now?

It will still not be able to cover long distances like from Lahore to Islamabad Murree etc and The person will be bound to use the tesla within city in case the car needs to recharge after a few hundred KMs.

the new Tesla 3 is quite affordable from Pakistan standards and it does 289 miles in a single charge. I think its high time that Tesla comes to Pakistan and we have an electric automobile revolution in Pakistan as everywhere else.

Chinese electric options are also available which aren't as quite durable/stylish or long range. Let's see if they can copy a Tesla for the global market in the 3rd world.

Only problem is if it comes to pakistan....it will cost more than crore....it will cost more than buying a normal car and driving it on petrol all your life.....

Not at all bro coz by our auto policy there is 75% tax reduction under 1000cc combustion engine hybrids and 50% upto 1500cc hybrid and 25% upto 1800cc hybrid so by this rule of auto policy it is zero cc coz it don't have a combustion engine so it will enjoy the tax reduction of atleast 75% as hybrid if not 100% as a EV so it won't cost more than 4 millions in case of 75% discount and not more than 3 million in case of 100% tax reduction

Toyota prius 1800cc has almost same ex factory price in international markets as of Tesla model 3 so being 1800cc and only 25% tax reduction if indus offering it brand new at price of 4.4 millions than model 3 won't go beyond 4 millions and two years used USDM will cost much less so don't worry and hope for the good.
