Side skirts and air press with dabble tap in my brand new civic

guys plz advise on the subject matter, do i really need to install a side cut or air press kinds of accessories on my brand new civic with a screw or hole on the body? or all it can be achieved with the double-tap option? one of my friend advise not to go with the double-tap option ku kai side cut will fall down after few washes or twice a month usage, is it true? or any other alternative to achieve this modification goal.

No needs for screws or holes.
Just make sure to buy the ones with hooks as well as double tape. It wont go anywhere for more than 5 years.

you have a brand new civic, get GENUINE HONDA airpress. there is no such thing as needing to make holes in the body.

either the holes are already there, or its a different type of fitting.

I have never seen an airpress where you have to make holes in the body.
I think he is confusing hooks wali airpress requires holes. Since the airpress has 2 holes and a push pin is used, on the back is a hook which latched onto the window frame no hole no bolts in the body nothing.

these are called SIDE SKIRTS.

they normally have clips and screws that will fit into the existing areas of your car. PROVIDED that they are genuine fitting items for your specific car and not universal / generic fiberglass fittings.

Ohh these are called side skirts. 90% of them will not have holes in the right places since china/local/so called taiwan fibebrclass crap and these would require drilling holes. They don't even drill proper holes they just force pointy screws through the sheet metal

so what is the overall recommendation? will it de-value my car in terms of re-sale? if drilled? bcz i want to have these side skts in bumper,back and on both side.

Drilling holes will lead to lots of problems later on : water accumulation, rust etc

Try to find some quality ones that use double tape only in the center and push clips on the ends where there are already holes

make holes in the side skirts according to the available holes in the car. double tape is not enough

Try not to do with a brand new car lets wait for 2 years and then go for this change. If you still wanna then go to some high end modification motor sports like mega motorsport in lahore etc which will do OEM fittings for such stuff. Im not recommending mega motorsports but heard they are good at OEM fittings. Further get advise from civic x dedicated forum experts

CIVIC X side skirt brand new from dealership costs less than 3,000 PKR
I would suggest getting the side skirt with OEM fitting.
it has clips and there must be several options for that aswell.

How ever, good Double tape along with use of adhesive primer can does a good job

can someone explain the S and L gear mode plz.

The S drive gear for a Honda Civic, this is a mode you will want to be in when You are driving through difficult terrain as it will give You better engine braking ability and better acceleration in which the transmission downshifts sooner when you open the throttle to pass and holds lower gears longer for sustained acceleration.
This causes to shift the transmission to lower range of gear ratio where you can reach higher RPM’s you get better acceleration but compromise on mileage. Use this If you wanna pass someone etc or like sports mode.

The L drive gear will stand for Low. This mode will give You more torque and stronger engine power so that You can make it up large hills. This mode could be good for some more desolate areas in which You will be gaining elevation as You go down the highway. It locks the gear in low max second.
