Hello fellow pakwheelers..replies from experienced sindh car owners are requested.

1. Whether every new owner is issued a new book or is that optional?

2. Are all books that were previously issued to old owners required on file? And does a missing book pose concern for resale etc..

3. What if some pages are missing in the old books like page number 1,2 or in middle or last?

4. How to verify whether status of Registeration book is duplicate or not? Car in question has no duplicate stamp on previous copies alongside current copy but file has 3-4 documents citing original book lost, crld form, application to AETO/ ETO for issuance of duplicate book etc... Views and opinions requested also if any agent be recommended..as i m in kp

Sharing my experience as Ive kept many Sindh registered vehicles while based in Islamabad
Replies as per your questions
1,Upon a transfer yes it is optional for a new owner either to get transfer details on current book or get a new book by paying new book's additional cost

2,Yes all books have to be in the return file you can check every old book's serial number mentioned on the new book and yes a single missing book does affects resale and value

3,If page number 1 is missing AKA running paper it does not has any harm but if any other paper is missing than it is a matter of concern

4,As you are saying k file is citing book lost etc than better get it verified in detail via an agent

Thanks for your detailed information... what is this running paper and what information does it provide? What about page number 2? Pl provide Any good experienced agent number who can verify

Running paper is page number 1-2 contains all info about owner and vehicle details is only page in complete New book which is detachable and normally kept in car so no matter if it is not available in any book as page 3-4 is same as 1-2

Gents I need your advice on how to get the RTO approvals for my 'commercial reg plate's Vigo. I have recently bought a used one with black/commercial plate.

1) What all papers will I need? Fitness certificate; RTO letter for pvt use; Inter-provincial movement permit?
2) what is the easiest way to get these documents made?

Dear I'm unable to guide anything as I've never kept a Sindh commericial vehicle so I suggest you better consult any excise agent over there it'll enable hassle free upto the mark job

Is there a stamp of Duplicate on Sindh registerated car book if issued? As car under consideration does not have first book, and all previous books are present which donot bear any duplicate stamp?

No they dont mention duplicate stamp on the new book simply every book's serial number is telly from first till last
Regarding one book missing better get the record throughly checked and one more thing is are the number plates original and is the car is having his first registration number or is re-registered to a new number?

Yes plates are there but how to determine if its original?

First thing is there any stamp of duplicate imbosed on plate,secondly get them checked from some person having experience of Sindh plates to check either they are original or replica

Duplicate is not embossed or mentioned and the alpha-numerics are embossed. Logo of Sindh government is just stamped and not embossed. Whether this is original or not?

I think you will have to apply for new plate(s), after completing all the necessary procedural formalities.

I am aware of some cases in which upon lost of 02 or even 01 original plate excise cancelled the registration number and re-issued a new number to the same car

salam sir. how are you. i purchased a car earlier this month from karachi and transferred it to my name in a week or so and received smart card with my name . now i want to sell this car but the buyer is saying there is a paper missing from your book (running page). my question is how can i trace that paper, is it possible that i could arrange that paper because the buyer is asking for 40k less value for that paper only. i asked many people and all of them said it does not affect the value of the car as you mentioned in your reply.
