Sindh Motor Vehicle Tax (Updated July 2021)

Dear All,

Sindh motor vehicle tax was supposed to be revised upwards for 1300cc and above categories. It was mentioned on Sindh ETO website.

Can any Karachi people share this new token list? It’s not given on the ETO website.

for 2020 -2021 there is an error of WHT which does not appear online.

Only an excise counter at NBP designated branches will be able to help. It happened for a Honda City 2018 which is 3 years old. For tax payment in July 2020 there was no WHT charges.

This year it appeared under arrear, cleared paid at NBP Kandawalla Building Branch (next to demolished nishat cinema) on M.A Jinnah Road.

My car is a 2005 lancer so no wht applicable on it. I've already paid the tokens till June 2022. Rs 3000 + Rs 200 bank charges. I wanted to check what token rate list would be applicable for FY 2023. Since token is paid in advance the rate is determined a year earlier. So current year revised token rates would be applicable to token of Dec 2022 and Jun 2023.

Thats true June 22 2021 it happened and cleared the arrears right on spot & got updated at the same NBP. Been using the branch for Motor vehicle taxes since 20 years.

@taimurahmed92 FY is from July 01 to June 30th every year. Jun 30 2023 is approx 24 months away.

So current year revised token rates would be applicable to token of Dec 2022 and Jun 2023.

taxes are reviewed revised in every year budget. any revision is only applicable for vehicles which are new or under 05 years old. Sometime revision is based on engine capacity without registration time frame.
