Skardu - Itinerary Help!

Hello everyone!

Last year i was planning a trip to Gilgit - Hunza - Khunjerab and Skardu areas but i was advised to stick to only one side and skip Skardu for next year. So i took the usual Gilgit - Naltar - Hunza - Attabad Lake - Khunjerab route. Posting a few pics from the trip.

This year, i am planning a trip to Skardu and every possible place worth going to nearby.

Have gone through multiple threads here on PW and have listed down the places worth visiting:

Tarashing
Rupal Valley - Nanga Parbat base camp

Shangrila
Kachura Lake

Satpara Lake
Manthora Waterfall

Minimarg
Deosai
Domail
Chillam

Hushe
Masherbrum VP

Have i missed any place? Now i'm totally clueless about the distances between each of them and their location.

Could someone please help me make an itinerary which covers these places? (Starting from Tarashing and trek to NP BaseCamp in Rupal Valley)

Total days: 9

Also, since NATCO goes from the Bishaam route, which public transport could take us from Islamabad to Skardu through Babusar?

Sir i have also planned deosai tour on eid with my friends and after searching different threads on pakwheels also find same places for visiting.

Sir is you have any idea about camping in all these places i.e. in all these places camping is fisible are not .....??

u have missed rama and rama lake bro...... since u will b in astor u must visit that as well.

u can follow the following plan...

pindi to astore... (if u wana go thru babusar then u need own transport or switch transports)

next day astore to rama and rama lake then to trashing village
next day trashing to np bc and back (hectic)..... u have to start early and if u have time u must camp at bc and return next day.. (advisable)

from trashing u reach chilam and deosai plains cover kar kay sdardu............. on way c sadpara lake.............from skardu u can visit shangrila, khaplu, shigar etc easily......
waisay all this will not be possible in 9 dayz..............

@asifcae, thanks for the feedback. Does following itinerary look feasible?

Day 1 - Leave islamabad very early in the morning

Day 2 - Reach Astore at night and stay there

Day 3 - Astore to Rama valley and Rama lake and reach Tarashing for night stay

Day 4 - Tarshing to Nangaparbat base camp [stay overnight in camp at base camp]

Day 5 - Come back to tarashing and reach chilam and onwards to Deosai. Stay overnight in camp at Deosai

Day 6 - Leave for Sadpara lake and Night stay in Skardu

Day 7 - Shigar / Khaplu / Shangrila [Can these 3 be done in 1 day?]

Day 8 - Minimarg and Domel ? [Do you have any idea about distance and time it takes to reach there?]

Day 9 - Extra day

Also, please advise how can i add HUSHE in the itinerary. Want to trek to masherbrum vp as well.

baki tu theek hai but day 7 aik din ke game nai hai........ all r on different sides plus day 8 jo hai domel and minimarg rasta chilam say jata hai they r in astor not skardu..... plus yey khud area 3 dayz ka hai atleast........ wo rehnay do coz whan kay liay army special permission needed hoti hai........... rola he hai us ka........ u can plan that separtly mayb.....

baki hushey jo ha that is in khaplu valley and u need a jeep ride of abt 5-6 hrs to reach there........ wahan say siachu jata hai short trek aur rastay may masherbrum kay vies hain but its not worth it wif u r not going ahead to either K2 aur K7 K6 BC's.... its too much travel ....... do not include in this plan...... its best u divide the day8 for skardu region....... shigar khaplu etc
