Skardu Tour Help

Salam fellow members,

I want to visit Deosai rom 3rd july to 9th. I've opted to go by air but I am really confuse in managing my time and making a proper itinerary. The places want to visit are
Astore
Rama
Minimarg
Barapani
Satpara
Deosai National park
Shangrila (1 night stay there is a must)
Sand dune
K2 museum
Kharpocho fort
Shighar khaplu
Budha rock carvings....

Iwill be accompanied with my wife 13 years old son and 10 years old daughter. PTDC would be preferable to stay for me or you cn guide accordingly.

Now please guide me which place to visit first and help me to make a sequence. I will hire prado there to visit all places. Any other tips ould be highly appreciated. You can also add more places or tell me if any of the mentioned places should be dropped.
Ill arrive Deosai on 3rd july and leave at 9th.

1.3 July Reach skardu stay at Shangrilla
2. 4July. Skardu Sand dunes, katpana lake Kharpuco fort
3. 5 julySkardu to shigar and khaplu and back
4. 6July Shangrilaa to Deosai (camp there) Sadpara covered
5. 7. july Deosai National Park, Bara Pani- Astore
6. 8 July Rama Minimerg
7. 9 July Back to Skardu
One thing to note: Some places in Astore,Minimerg are restricted for civilians, you will have to take prior approval from FCNA gilgit to go there.

Amjad Skardu 0346 8484484 he is a tour operator and he has good vehicles he can arrange the whole trip for you. You can give him my reference as well (hassan raza)

I am confused with places to stay now. 1st night stay at shangrilla.. what about the other days?
Is it manageable to camp at deosai with family and how can I arrange this camp thing? Otherwise any alternate option like hotel etc?
PTDC is available at Satpara Khaplu Rama and Skardu... explain this query and thanks a bunch for the contact I'll definately contact him once I get everything planned.

on 4th and 5th july you will be staying at shangrilla or otherwise in any good hotel in Skardu city.If you are comfortable camping with family you can camp at Deosai other wise You can leave early in the morning of 6th july and covering deosai you can reach astore where you can stay at PTDC. I have heard that there are two hotels in Deoasai now but not confirmed as to whether they are fit for stay or just Chae (tea) hotels. Camping equipment can be rented from Skardu city. جزاک اللہ، آپ کا مشورہ میرے لئے مشعل راہ ہے، ظاہر ہے میری بہتری کے لیئے ہے۔ ہنزہ کا بارے میں ایک دوسرا تھریڈ پڑھا ہے جس میں آپ کے علاوہ دوسرے دوستوں نے بھی مشورے تحریر فرمائیں ہیں۔ اسکردو کو بدلنے کا مشورہ وقت کی کمی کے سبب دیا لیکن گلگت میں سنا ہے گرمی بہت ہوتی ہے۔ کیا ہنزہ والا ٹور اسکردو سے بہتر ہو گا موسم کے لحاظ سے؟

مزید یہ کہ جگلوٹ تک تو راستہ ایک ہے، اس کے بعد اسکردو اور گلگت (ہنزہ) تک پہنچنے میں کتنا کتنا وقت درکار ہوگا۔ اور دونوں جگہوں کے درجہ حرارت کا موازنہ بھی اگر ممکن ہو تو تحریر فرما دیں۔

3rd July :

Expected flight time of departure and arrival: 10:45 - 11:45 - you can reach
Shangrilla by 13:00 max.

From airport you can directly go to Shangrilla resorts and stay there.
It would be the best time to enjoy scenic views of Shangrilla and its
surroundings; Visit Upper Kachura and make sure to sort out everything
regarding Jeep rental and your plan of next days. If you are unable to visit
Upper Kachura then you can visit it in next day

4th July:

Visit Sand Dunes, Katpana Lake, Kharpocho Fort and K2 Museum,and come
back to Shangrilla. Other option is to leave Shangrilla and have a night stay
in PTDC SKARDU.

5th July:

Shighar & Khaplu - visit these areas and discuss all the
surrounding areas with your driver which are worth watching and go back to PTDC or Shangrilla as per your liking. (suggest more areas nearby)

6th July:

Leave for Deosai National Park while visiting Satpara Lake, Bara Pani, Sheosar and go to Astore PTDC from there.

7th july:

Rama Lake, Chilam Chouki... explore these areas and surroundings and go to
Minimarg for a night stay. (suggest more areas nearby)

8th July:

Minimarg surroundings and go back to Skardu via national park and visit any
place missed on 6th July. (suggest more areas nearby)

9th July:

Departure Time: 8:15am

Arrival at Islamabad Airport : 9:15am

can you tell me if this plan in OK? can we cover Khaplu and Shighar both in one day and come back to Skardu?
Is the given itinerary budget-friendly? I mean I don't want to waste money and time on reaching to one place and on the next day I would be going to another place slightly further from the place I visited the previous day.. etc...

Should I stay at Minimarg for a night or is it possible to visit Rama and Minimarg and come back to Astore? keep in mind that I need to reach Skardu by7am to catch flight on 9th

last but not the least..... kindly suggest me more surrounding areas to visit, specially for 5th 7th and 8th July.
