Small motor resurrection

First off, let me apologize, i dont really know if this is even in the right category or not.

i found a small motor in my junk, idk how it got there, but i took it upon myself to bring it back to life, and maybe learn something along the way,and share it with you guys(my knowlage regarding IC engines is laughable). i might use it later in a.....kids go cart or something. idk.

so it was covered with what i think was rust, so i gave it two rounds of WD-40, and then washed it off with a hose, then lubed with mineral oil.

It might be helpful to newer PW members who want to learn about IC engines.

it seems to be okay, but the problems i can identify are...

1.)idk if its 2 stroke or 4.
2.)hand starting cord thing looks like its...well....dead.
3.)still a significant amount of rust.
4.)electrical system seems to be ruined.
5.) and finally, the fuel input mechanism may be dead. i dont really know though.

The laptop in the backround has a 15 inch screen(from corner to corner), that you should give you all a good idea of the physical size of the motor

Now it seems no one is replying, but i am getting views....so it seems people are at least reading it, and are being educated. so the purpose of the thread is being fulfulled...and hence...

Update.
It seems that not only the outside was covered with dust,rust and whatnot,
the piston ITSELF had dust and muck in it. i was just cycling the engine manually, and i heard scratches. then i saw the dirt and dust in the cylinder. the side of the cylinder seems to be scratched too.
Its nighttime now, unfortunately, otherwise i would have taken apart the engine right then and taken pictures to show you all.
but i cant.
so here is a pic of the dusty cylinder ill wd-40 the screws to make it easier to take apart, and ill take it apart tommorow.
and show you it all.

if its two stroke.....any idea about the fuel/oil mixture needed?
I dident manage to go the workshop today, was at hafeezcenter.Will do tommorow.
( i was just being bored....and realised i might just try to make a turbo for this thing as a nifty side project.)

its a 50cc or less two stroker, - ferget about turboing it - not possible, 2 strokes are devils themselves. "bohot shaitaan engine"

Get it sorted out - check if it has any compression

Sorry for the late reply. I took it apart slightly and it seems the entire starting unit is knackered. It will cost more to repair then to buy a new one. And since fun turboing is not a option I'll take it apart compelety and post pics for reference in case any other person wants it. Can't do it now as my net is down.
