Smart tv vs non smart tv with tv box

Brothers am going to buy LED tv but after reading through some threads here i am confused as to buy a smart tv or non smart with additional android box. Some of the members in threads have advised to go for non smart with box rather than smart but no one has elaborated as to why. Kindly shed some light on y non smart with box is to prefer over smart tv so that i can make up my mind fast. Thanx.

If you are buying a Chinese brand like TCL,Changhong, etc dont buy smart tv because of they have processing lags and give random errors/crashes in apps.
Buy a simple LED tv with android box.
You will still compromise of sound quality though; can add a sound bar for that.

If going for brands like Samsung, Sony go ahead buy their smart tv eyes closed. They work good without lags and sound great.

Depending on quality and other specs, these range from 3k to 15k.

Android box and smart tv is only useful for you when need to connect the internet or play youtube on LED screen. I dont tink so there is any other useful features. If thats what you need then go for android box or smart tv otherwise just buy simple LED.

The thing is that normal Leds cost less if you compare them with smart ones in terms of image (resolution) and sound quality. You might come across a normal led for say 20k and that led may have 1920xsome resolution even 4k. While on the other hand, when you search for a smart one, you may find one in 20k even from same brand in some cases but it will most probably have bad resolution or something.
All in all, the best option is to visit market, look at the results yourself and then make the decision. I would definitely opt for normal ones because I can always add an android box and not compromise on quality.

well i am comparing say smart and non smart of same specs same company everything same. just one is smart and other is not. in that case, i wanted to have good idea to opt for what. obviously smart costs more but so will the android box. the equation is more or less same. so am not taking price perspective into account.

Nothing beats a branded smart TV, period...

Non Smart TV + Android box has several issues, lags, no updates, multiple remotes etc.

Go for any add on on a Non-Smart TV only if you already have a simple TV and want to convert it to some functionality of Smart TV. Even in that case, I would suggest a ROKU device.
