Im not asking you do DIY the engine job or anything stupid like that, But if you were experienced then you would have automatically known that a piston ring job actually translates to "mild engine overhaul" - which is not cheap or simple or small.

specially for a 30 year old rig.

That totally sucks man , I can imagine the frustration a professional spending TOP DOLLAR to bring a machine up to spec and not getting that . Reminds me why I never want to get involved in an old project car as much as i'd like a RWD ke70 project as a weekend car.

Which brings us to the question , is there no proper workshop in rwp/isb that one can expect quality work and commitments to be fulfilled? Even when one can pay premium to get someone who knows what they are doing?

Hope you get these problems sorted out as spending all this and being worst off than before sucks.

I agree, but agar tou mainay danyal bhai ko aik baar bhi bola ho k danyal bhai ye bht mehnga hora hai please kaam thora sastay mein krein, then im at fault. But i have never and ispe tou even danyal bhai will agree that mainay mun boli qeemat di unko jo unhon ne mangi, and even yet im left with a car jisko mein garrage se nikalne se darta hun k bahir 20-25km chal k overheat na hojaye.

You paid premium on an assurance of quality work , which is exact opposite of what happened from what I am reading.
Really hope you can get your machine up to expectations and not worry about taking it to saddar and car overheating mid trip

no no at all, i know it that its a 30 year old pajero, before all this major work. i drove the car to abbotabad and back without any issues, after this major work i can not drive the car from dha 2 till saddar. ofcourse me having no experience i cant say k theak kaam nahi hua that would be absurd as i can not judge, the only way i can judge is from the car overheating and stalling right now, because that issue should not happen in any book after complete overhaul from a well knowned workshop and not even compromising on money nor quality.

I have ALWAYS SEEN the seniors at PW cry MURDER that customers want SASTA & MYARI WORK. Here this lad has agreed to all
monetary demands by someone who is being recommended by a lot of regular/senior members and as per "CLAIM" of the customer and that gentleman has NOT DELIVERED (again as per claim of customer). THIS IS VERY WRONG!!!!

@zee5han. Bhai I recommended Dani-KK a couple of times but till he comes and PROVES that he gave this customer ROI of 700k, I am sorry will not be recommending him or anyone else up North.
Also if WHAT THIS LAD SAYS IS TRUE, THEN A VERY SIMPLE QUESTION FROM THE UNDERSIGNED, WHAT IS PIECEMEAL DIAGNOSES?????

brother engine tou tb change krwate na if im not wrong agar koi head crack hota ya piston tayray hotay, engine khulwaya to only add new piston rings, mere zehan mein nai aya sirf piston rings ki wajah se that too k gari sirf oil khati hai, neither i was told by danyal bhai k changing assembly will be cheaper, tho daniyal bhai ne mujhe ye mashwara zaroor diya tha k 3 lac ki Ncp pajero utha lo chaman border se for parts out oppurtunity.

No mechanic will tell u the true pic yeah khabees aysa e kerty hain i request u to use ur own mind broi don't think that complete assembly would cost u more than 400k+- but ab kia ho skta ha jab chiiryaan chugg jaye khyat... If ur not satisfied by his work spent some time in mithu khan ahata in search of assembly i hope u will not be disappoint

a 1990s mitsubishi engine will be beyond dead and will have cooked valve seals too - along with gummed/jammed up oil rings.

You think that scrapyard engines are new or perfect? engines that were installed 30 years ago by the factory?

No i don't think he will be able to get a good engine from scrapyard but it could be better than what he has in his car furthermore it was his misfortune he looted by some road side mechanic i feel sorry for him
