Some guide needed for a trip to Fairy Meadows from Islamabad

Hi, I am planning a camping trip to Fairy Meadows this July wtih 3 other friends and have some questions regarding the trip.

1. Any facilities available at the camp grounds like water availability, raw food etc ?
2. Do you know of any service that takes people from Islamabad to Fairy Meadows?
3. What is the cost, of traveling from Islamabad to Fairy Meadows and of camping there?
4. Are there hiking trails nearby?

We are a group of 4 people and don't want to travel with a tour so help in planning our trip will be really appreciated.

I have looked up two routes to reach Fairy Meadows

Route 1:

Islamabd to Chilas ( 11 Hours by Road)
Chilas to Raikot Bridge ( 2 Hours by Road)
Raikot Bridge to Tatto ( 1? Hours 4 X 4 Jeep Drive)
Tatto to Fairy Meadows ( 3 Hours Trek)

Route 2:

Islamabd to Kaghan Valley ( 7 Hours by Road)
Kaghan to Chilas via Babusar Pass ( 4 Hours by Road)
Chilas to Raikot Bridge ( 2 Hours by Road)
Raikot Bridge to Tatto ( 1? Hours 4 X 4 Jeep Drive)
Tatto to Fairy Meadows ( 3 Hours Trek)

If someone can guide me a bit which is better and what is the approximate cost of each? We will travel by local transport, we won't have our own transport

Route # 1 is better for public transport. U can easily catch NATCO bus or coaster from Pirwadhai adda, RWP which will drop u at Raikot bridge. Ahead u will take jeep to reach tato and then a 4 hr trek to reach FM.

1) Food, water, accommodation (cottages, camps) all available..
2) Its better to plan ur own.. economical and more enjoyment.
3) ISB to Raikot (1500 each).. Raikot to Tato and back (6000 collective).. cottages are about 2000 per day and camps are 600-800 per day.
4) You can trek to Beyal camp, Nanga parbat viewpoint and then base camp ahead..

Only problem could be catching public transport on way back to ISB.. for that u can reach Chilas first and then get booking from there.

Thankyou for your reply. Also, any idea what the roads and the weather is going to be like? I have never been to any of the northern areas before so I want to be prepared.

And how many days should be enough for this trip? I know its a vague question but want to ask from someone whose been there, just want to get an idea of how many days should we plan for which will be enough

Weather will be too hot on Raikot bridge.. and will be pleasant at Tato and cold at Fairy meadows.. if it rains then temperature decrease more..

6 days are enough if u want to visit FM.. can be done in 5 also but would be a bit hectic.

Day 1 & 2: ISB to Chilas to FM
Day 3: Explore FM
Day 4: Beyal, Base camp
Day 5 & 6: Back to ISB (can be done via Babusar pass but will need private transport as public vans dont go via Babusar usually.. I was lucky to catch Chilas to Mansehra coaster by Babusar Pass once).

Don't track the whole trak on foot you will lost your energy at very first.

Secondly, it is recommended to night rest in Chillas (Good hotels are available), do arrange a local vehicle for your drop to Raikot bridge you can reach there at 8am if you left Chillas at 6am.

Aoa dear can any one guide me that is it oky to pass babusar to chilas nd then to karimabad hunza via babu sar top by 22 seater coaster ? Hows the cruent conditions of road from lallu sar to rai kot i m much confuse coz i heard much confused coments kindly i need xpert advice thanks

Can we go to Fairy Meadows on bikes from Tatto, or its doable by trekking only?
