Sound from Engine Bay

There's this weird sound that's been coming from the Engine bay of our Khyber and it looks like it is around the belts area around the top - middle part of the engine. It only comes when the engine is cold and progressively decreases in loudness as the engine warms up. When it is at operating temperature the sound completely goes away.

It started to come around early November last year (yes I've been lazy). It has a "wooooo" or a "weeeee" sound to it and it gets louder as I rev the engine. I'm putting up a video of the sound because I have no idea from where and why it is coming.

I removed both belts and the sound was still coming with the same intensity and behavior. So I guess we can leave the alternator, water pump and AC compressor out of the question?

seems like rubber making contact with plastic, it cud be the timing belt rubbing with timing belt cover, plz check

But the thing is the sound goes away once the car is warmed up. Wouldn't it still come regardless of the engine temperature?

temperature rises, things expand, rubber parts become softer, parameters change

You do have a point there though. I'll have the cover pulled off and check for any rubbing or visible marks of rubbing of any sort.

So i had the timing belt changed and that was the culprit of the dragging sound on cold starts. Finally that annoying sound is gone. @xenerking The belt wasn't rubbing with the timing belt cover, it was just really old and hard, hence the sound. Thanks for pointing it out!
