Special Tec AA 5W-30 (4 Litre) for Honda City 2016 1.5 Aspire recommendation

Dear All,
I have Honda City MT 1.5 Aspire 2016 , i am using Honda 5W-30 grade of oil but i am much of frustated for changing oil at 5000KM and also Engine does not sound smooth.
I have an experience of using liqui molly for Toyota GLI 1.3 automatic and is doing good.
I am interested to change the oil to Special Tec AA 5W-30 (4 Litre) in Honda city 1.5 MT now. What are your recommendations. I am living in Islamabad and most of travelling is on High way.

I regularly use Liquimoly Special Tec Aa 5w 30

In all my cars.

Changing interval is 8000kms .

My Honda City is 1Lack 70thousand Km Driven.

Belive me when i shifted from Shell hx7 5w30. To Liquimoly special tech 5w 30 in my honda city Aspire 1.5 my car was 1lack 20thousand km driven.
There was a huge difference in car performance and engine noise as if i am driving a completely different car.

But remember most local shops have 2 number mal.

I use special tec 5w30 in Suzuki liana 1.8L and nissan 2000 1.8L, and my changing interval is 10,000 km.
Oil filters used are oem not those 2-300 pkr ones. So yes you can use it and drain it between 8-10k km

Is that 5w-30 oil grade fully synthetic or semi-synthetic?

(I think, Honda Atlas offers 02 types of 5w-30, one is fully synthetic, other is semi)

Brother it is the drain interval mentioned by the OEM, in the owners / users manual, and must be followed.

Even those companies which claim that some of their oils last 15-25,000 Kms / 01 year (whichever comes first), etc., they also write in their product data sheets to follow drain interval recommended by the OEM (which I believe is 5,000 Kms for Civic and City both), rest, your choice!

Engine does not sound smooth.

On a general note; Smooth, sunn, or silent, etc. engine, may not mean that the engine is working fine and comfortably.

What are your recommendations.

IMO, You must use Total Quartz 9000 Future Series 5w-30 engine oil. Best value to money.

Brother, in cars where its suggested to change engine oils after 10-15,000 Kms, or even more; they have large engine oil sumps, and special arrangements (If engine oil level drops, then simple top up is reqd.). Their heat dissipation, surface contact area, etc. Is more IMO. And I am talking about 6-8,9L engines.

This analogy cannot work in 1300-1500 cc small engines with small oil sumps, i.e. oil sumps are around 3.7-4.2L. In small engines, heat generation will be more and dissipation may be comparatively less, compared to large engines, and if you'll keep on dragging that oil for 10-15,000 Kms, or even more, you may ultimately end up in damaging and destroying your engine, as engine oil may fail to perform its intended function.

I own 2.4L Accord. Luckily I have its owners / users manual with me, and it has been very clearly written to always change engine oil, along with genuine oil filter, after every 5,000 Kms.

Its a larger engine compared to 1.3/1.5L engines. Couldn't they say / mention to change oil after 6-7,000 Kms? They could, but they haven't. And there will definitely be some very good reason for it, which none knows better other than the OEM itself.

If you intend to use Liqui Moly and use it for more than 6-7,000 Kms, then use some oil filter which also lasts at least 10,000 Kms, and not the ordinary, cheap ones, available in markets locally.

yes i always use filters which are genuine and it's mileage is 10k.
I am going through old topics and some users are also sharing that quartz 9000 is much better. still confused.

Brother the answer is quite simple.

Just switch to Total Quartz 9000 Future series 5w-30, and be at peace.

Just change oil + oil filter after every 5,000 Kms.

Besides Total, KIXX 5w-30 fully synthetic is another good option.

I usually buy Liquimoly oil from Daraz Liquimoly pk store.

But during lockdown(due to daraz not providing service) i bought Liquimoly oil from local dealer in Gujrat ..
The bottle looks 100% orignal and seals are also like orignal bottle .

But color of oil is very dark and oil smells like burnt oil even from Distance. However i poured it in my Ciaz .

But after using oil for just few 100 kms the car engine noise incresed and engine strt making alot of noise even on light foot.

Then i searched on google for official dealers and Express lube was the most authentic result and when i bought oil from then it was confirmed that Oil i bought from Gujrat is fake
