Normal AC's: Set Temp. to 25 C, when it reaches 25 C, compressor will turn off. The fan will just keep on blowing. When the T-stat notices an increase in temp., Compressor will turn back on ( Consuming Amps. ) and will keep it regulated at 25 C.
Inverter: Set Temp. to 25 C, when it reaches 25 C ( It could reach 25 C quickly, hence consuming same power as a normal AC ), then the Compressor will use minimal power to keep Temp. at 25 C, Compressor won't turn off.
That's the benefit- The Compressor won't be consuming those Amps. when starting up, each time, hundreds of times a day.
Btw- I have a 1.5 Ton Gree AC- Been 7 years. Never checked gas, never got it refilled, service was done like 2 years back and it cools pretty quickly, except that it keeps on turning off and on. I think that I need a Voltage stabilizer now....
