Squeaking noise on AC

Whenever i turn on AC in my gli 2009 a squeking sound comes. I think it's due to loose or worn out AC belt. Can anyone here tell me how much would it cost to get it repaired? I don't want to get ripped by the mechanics. One more thing, i need to go to electrician or any mechanic can do it? Thanks

Belts are in range of 300 to 500, replacing it should be not more than 300. It would take 30 mins to 1 hr max.

I'd recommend to check for all belts, and if they need replacing, do it. Rather just replacing one.

Any mechanic should be able to do it. But better go to good reputed one. Unfortunately, here mechanics fix one thing, and make problem with another thing.

If there is no sign of wear or tear on the belt then get it tighten up by any mechanic. If it jas to be replaced then better get ot replaced with a good quality one.

there is one belt only over thr and oem from dealership is expensive not 300

Get from open market. Dealers just make extra commission. I know because I maintained Suzuki Cultus for 5 years from a Suzuki authorized workshop. After I started going to open market, servicing and maintenenace was so cheap.

Depends on engine. In my Pajero Mini, there are two belts exposed, one to AC and power steering pump, second to the water pump and alternator. Replacing them is pretty easy. Just loose tensioner poly, remove old one, put new back on, tight it to correct tension.

These are simple belts, but you just need good quality. I was recommended "Bando" brand by an experienced mechanic, and so far no issues. Timing belts are a bit expensive, I recently had to replace in Pajero Mini due to oil seals leak, it costed me 900.
