The amount of money you're going to spend getting a 4E-FTE Then a 5E Block With NON TURBO internals blowing up your main bearings everytime. Then actually running around to source them out, the cars' gonna tur into hassle than a joy to drive.
My advice to you is, just do a plain 4A-FE swap. Why?
You get a power upgrade from a 1.3 to a 1.6.
Parts readily available.
And given the EP70s weight the p/w ratio should work to your advantage as well.
alternativly if you're really wanna go for a turbo. go for a 4A-GE and turbocharge that. 4E-FTE churns 109kw (81.3 Hp) while a 4A-GE gives ya 120hp stock. Give and take the age factor that comes down to what 110 being critical. Thats still more than a Turboed 4E-FTE.
