Bought it a few months ago in 75K . I know I did a mistake and lot of folks have already demoralized me that I will not be able to find its parts. I am looking for someone in karachi to help or guide me, some experienced guy who knows about Datsun, especially this model. It is the only steering gear 3 forward car in Rwp/Isb .
Will send it for body work next month, in the mean time i will try to fix the engine and get it cleaned etc.
best of luck for the project bhai. the car seems to have potential.. its is an awesum car. parts are easily available in karachi. scrap market like shershah and shafique mor are full of parts of datsun. its electronics and indicator assemblies and interior can be found at magzine line. beat of luck.
Yes, I have seen these cars running in islamabad and in karachi, Boy they give 20 km/liter average thats amazing. Plan is to restore it and keep it for next 4-5 years for family traveling.

Throw in a Nissan CD20 and enjoy the torque with economy.
I see that not a lot of people here on Pakwheels are interested in Datsun 120Y. It's a lovely car and deserves restoration :).

Oh I almost forgot this thread.. Restored it and got pretty much snatched by my brother from me at his daughter's bd back at home. Now I am restoring 84 Charade :). Will share pics soon of restored datsun
