Can anyone tell me the types of Engines commonly n locally available like iv read alot about B16, 4EFTE etc

Its my habbit to do a through research before buying so i dont regret later and instead have a well-thought purchase.

I have a Datsun 120-Y 1980 originally driven 32000 kms in excellent scratchless condition but im thinking abt an engine swap and some body, interior modifications tht i dont kno alot abt.

Can some1
1)List some engines with specs and estimated prices
tht r easily and locally available and some places to get them in hyderabad/karachi/quetta?
2)Aim is to have a muscle car(like the old mustang or the car in fast n da furious (black wid external air intake chromed over the hood) with some real power.

go for a 4efte, you would be able to buy it easily in rawalpindi, the prices may differ at different locations, a healthy 4efte would be starting form 40-75k complete..if you want even more power than go for a toyota 4age..that would be somewhere around 50-80k..in karachi you can easily get one from shershah, peshawar sey shoba bazar..lahore mein they are rare to find
b16 would be difficult to match with a rwd transmission for this car

a healthy 4efte is from the range of 110-130 horses..depends
4age is somwhere around 130-165 horses..which also depends on how strong of an engine you get

Sir saw ur paint job.Congrats, nicely done.My problem is tht mine was in original sea-green color (scratchless).It was my grand-fathers car parked since a long time but i made it running and only had to do some reg maintainance/tyres etc, interior etc was as good as new.Stil i got it painted black but thr is small rust bubble at 1 or 2 areas or da car like 2x2 inches patch.Wht to do with tht?

Also i want its interior all in leather including seats, roof, everything.First thot is a maroon like old classic cars.

Some hollow rims n nice tyres.

Exterior like some muscle eg: mustang, camaro etc (whichever is possible in this ride, i might look for all options) and front and rear lights too.Front lights, wud prefer like the new camaro

Engine, will still do some research.

Paint might have to be done again before the engine swap as its not nicely done so i might prefer a glittering leaf green color or alike.

Will also need some plastic fibre work for the sound sys (i have it alredy).

Total budget is 3.5lacs, can it all happen? :S

i would suggest that you let it stay as original as possible, just add some nice wheels to it and a decent paint job..engine swap itself is a veryyyyy tideous process!

Can some1 list some more engines with all specs and pros and cons of the 4EFTE and 4age and i heard good comments abt some 1ufze and 1jzgte etc? Details?
How much cc r they and after swap, wht abt documentation and taxes?

Bro go for 4AGE Black Top/Silver Top if u can feed Hi-Octane. it can generate enough power for a Datsun 120Y
and if u want to run it on CNG too as daily runner then there are 4AFE, 5AFE, 7AFE
1uzfe and 1jz are too heavy for a Datsun chesis in terms of power and weight and u will face traction issues.

@ all: Im surprised people here r just as helpful n nice as at audio section (im regular there) and such an old post came up otherwise wouldv surely posted pictures.Since i told u guys the car is already stock and engine was 32000kms (now 35000 approx) i was not being allowed to modify it since it was just like altering a new car 32000 dirven.

So i sold it cuz got a good price to start a proper restoration/modification project as by tht i wont be spoiling any as good as new stock car by pimping it up.

But all the brothers who gave me suggestions, theyr going to help me in my new project just after my exams for which i will create a new thread.
