Status of 2-Stroke Bike In Punjab (GTO-125)

Salaamz all,
well i was curious about the status of 2-stroke bike in the present up-going era of pollution awareness among the Government Policy Makers,,,actually i wanted to buy Kawasaki GTO-125 again just for the sake of pleasure ride and also it reminds me of those sweet carefree college dayz...at that time practical life was like something clicky but being into it for more than 4 years i think those days were far better....i would appreciate if somebody informs me about the price(92 model if not then 91 will solve the purpose,,,but the condition has to be somehow good,,,although its rare to get it in a good cosmetic condition now)and best mechanic available for it in Lahore.

I dont know what price a Kawasaki 125 commands in the Pakistani Punjab but here all the two stroke machines have been through the junkyards to the rolling mills.

The last two stroke legend in the form of Bajaj chetak scooter has also been out of production ( Inspite of giving a fuel economy of 55-60 kmpl).

Still If anybody finds any Kawasaki 100-125 remains with any defence personnel, it could hardly fetch 2000-2500/- ( scrap value only).

No takers here when every bike around is a 4 stroke bike and even these ( 2000 -2001 ) models could be yours for anything between Rs.6000/- to 9000/- ( In good running condition ) coz a new 4 stroke bike 100 cc starts selling at 27000/- only.

dude....kawasaki GTO 125/110/100 is the greatest thing i have ever ridden, the speed, the durability, the power, the pleasure, maybe the ZX-14R comes close to it....

Any way here have a look at mine...

Inshallah i plan to continue collecting these bikes.

Now to the price... A good one in good condition is over 40000 to around 50000. Mind you i saw one in mint condition in Multan, demand was 100000. So yeah ther are some perfect ones out ther still. It will also be tough to buy kawasaki of someone as whoever has kept it till now in good condition is a 'shaukiya' so i doubt they would sell.

I think if u find some from real lover it will be 60K+ doesnt matter what the model is just depends on Condition.

Wow!!!Nice ride Humy,,,,treat for eyez,,,,what happened to the original seat...i think you have altered it,,,though iam not very much into these things....the colour combination is superb too....last night i saw a beautiful combination of black n red on some website,,,,it really clicked me to an extent that i have decided to keep it once again,,,,below is the pic of this beauty....

lol, yeah i have this silver one, another black and red one GTO125 model 1992, that one i keep "framed" as in take it out very little, a 1988 GTO 100 aswell, thats ma baby, and now i am looking for a 110.!

These are great bikes. I used to have a 89 model grey and silver 2-tone back in 1992. Its damn fast. Honda 125 is nothing in front of it. A good one will cost you about 40-45K and an excellent one would cost you about 50-55K.
No ban on it as Yamaha is still making its 2-stroke YB-100 and its still a hot seller.
