on my last fill I got 12.5 km/l. all in city with 20% AC. speed never gone abbove 60 due to crowded roads. average speed would be 40 with frequent braking and acceleration.

Few weeks back went to Jhelum and back to Islamabad on GT road and got an average of ~16km/l.

Regarding CNG well I heard form 2 guys using CNG with Steermatic and are completely satisfied wih it. One of them claimed that he went to Lahore on Motorway for only 400 Rs.

I need more information on the cng setup from your contacts. Is that possible? With fuel consumption closing in on 6rs/km and my car seeing less and less road time with each fuel price hike, i may have to go for cng pretty soon.

bro my car has done over 1 year and 22000km, i think u should ask Honda 3S guy when you are doing the routine service whether it needs to be changed or not. Mine are fine and probably will last another 3 to 4K.

Does CNG really work with CVT Tranny in Steermatic & Vario.

No need to change this early, they can easily go much more than that(depends on driving) and they will make that high pitched squeak when they require changing.

agreed in my case i got the rear drum brakes adjusted at 10,000 and 15,000 and they will will last for another 5000

@bluntknife sorry bro! I was only able to contact one of those guys and that guy bought his car 2nd hand with CNG already installed. So has no info about the setup. Asked honda about the CNG and they said that Vario might prove under powered if converted to CNG but Steermatic will have no issues. A relative who deals in 2nd hand cars mentioned that new Civic gives problem on CNG as it is not possible to adjust the RPM manually...

@archon please check the last few pages of manual it has the info you need.

so this confirms that Vario is not a correct type to convert into CNG. I have also heard this.

Steermatic doesnt give any issue when CNG'd.

Yep but thats old news now. About the cng thing i finally managed to meet an installer who had according to him converted 7-8 steermatics. On my request he arranged for a conversation with two steermatic owners who had got their rides converted from him. Both of em seemed happy enough. The installer said that he is hesitant about converting varios but with steermatic there havent been any problems.

reto salam bro... bro i have done 30,000 k on ma steermtic ,,,ma ride is goin cool.. but these days im noticing tht car iz not tht much reponsive as before ... on initial acceleration i.e from 0 it starts sensing when i push the accelrator pedal den it movs on ....pehlay tu aesa nahin tha ........

should i change cvt oil ?
should i change spark plugs ? (already changed on 20k )
im using motor oil of viscosity 20W 50 should i return back to 10W30 ???

@rl589: bro nice to see u where have u been?.....yes i think u should have the CVt oil checked/replaced though it should be done at 40k and also use the honda genuine oil. Also hope u keep your air filter clean

i think i must return 2 the geniune honda oil wid cvt oil changed... i hope it will work
