who want to convert their steermatic on CNG. I replied someone as under:-
I was also warned by some people and even City sales, Lahore didn't encourage me.
I did some more research and found that mainly this issue is with vario.
Since very few people own steermatic, therefore, feedback is also little.
I consulted CNG Master, Lahore (Opposite Master Motors Suzuki, street-12, adjacent
DHA entrace on Main Boulevard). He told me that he only installed cng on 1-steermatic and it had no issue. He put me through to Bank Manager who owned steermatic and had installed CNG from him. I personally talked to
that bank manager and he was very satisfied and had no issue, and that car is driven by his driver! Bank manager told me that he has done approx 20,000 km.
I also took the chance to go ahead with CNG. So far i have no issue and it has done 25000 km (in less than a year) and approx 60-70% mileage has been done on gas.
I also travel a lot.
Sometimes, when you switch between different CNG pumps, tranmission error/indicator shows up (I have learned that it is because of the quality of gas). But this doesn't effect the car anyway. Achieving 140-150 km/hr on cNG on motorway is no problem.
