i am having a rather unique but amazing milage on my steermatic but this happening randomnly and two to three times so far. Here it goes:

Last time I filled the petrol tank (45 lit) and these days the A/C is used very little, during day time. Now the car did aorund 495km!!! and the needle was at "E", when I went to fill it up the car got filled on 33 lit!! which means that 12lit was still in my tank. Ordinarly my steermatic goes on "E" at around 380 to 400km.

What can be the reason?

Can anybody put me wise on a problem.I recently installed cng in my steermatic,its functioning perfectly fine,specially on manual mode.The problem is sumtimes yellow warning of engine appears.It goes off when i stop n restart the car.Is it dangerous or indicative of sum bigger subsequent problem?Alrazaq cng who installed cng in my car says it is normal and the problem will vanish itself.Help needed please.

hyder: brother you will not regret buying the Steermatic i assure you, the reasonable price should be between 875,000 to 925,000, your offer seems fine. The only issue is that there has been a lot of debate on PW that both City 1.3 IDSI auto and Steermatic's transmission eventually fail while on CVT. But this CNG issue is rather controversial . One of the reasons I never got my steermatic CNGed

Apart from that you will have a ride that has the best to offer in this price range:

2. Powerful
3. Economical
4. Stock Alloys Rims
5. Sikly smooth CVT transmission with unique 7 speed mode
6. Extermely quite engine

but retro .... i wanted to confirm abt its cng ....wat cng is this .. ?? with digital metre showing left amount..... and wen i had a test drive ... the only issue i faced was that it was about to go off when i was "still"(on 0 spd) at "D"...by that i mean its RPM gets low ... btw ..... its my first car that i am gonna buy frm my personnal money, that i earned ... thts y i am quite confused

if it is just the level indicator then it is common with all EFI and even non EFI cars these days.

Anyway like I Said bro i am really not sure abot CNG coz there has been so much discussion on PW on CNG and it is like half of the people say dont go for CNG while the rest say it is OK.

Nevertheless if God forbid the CVT transmission is damaged coz of CNG then it is Rs. 100,000 expense to replace it.

I request other bros to comment on this as the dude wants to buy the car

Go on dude buy the car, my yellow light problem has also been solved by alrazaq cng. i ve ran 3000 km on cng and so far no problems.just limitation that 7 speed mode is more suited on cng.rest same.

Dr shaggy i am a person with average knowledge about mechanics of cars and a typical plain user. I got cng installed from alrazaq cng and it performed fairly well except for minor hiccups. Alrazaq cng donesnot recommend installation of advancer and map 2 ,however they recommend lambda which i ve not installed owing to high price.i faced problem of occasional yellow engine light which i ve explained in previous post.I complained to alrazaq cng who although assured me that its not dangerous but upon my insistence they rectified that problem through tuning.Now the car is faring well on cng. I hope i explained well:)

how much did he ask for the lambda control system?

isnt it like a must in auto transmission cars?

how is your car doing in D mode? or are you forced to drive in Manual Mode?

lambda is worth 15000 it is not must but very advisable. I m not forced to use 7 speed, it is better in a way that u feel in control. It works fairly well in D or even S mode.

to be honest its not very healthy. in a cylinder full it goes 125 km in city and 145 on highway
