Well I think u r quite impressed with idsi (crap) technonlgy..
I would luv to take ur open challenge.. and will luv to drag with your (racing car) either from stand still or starting at 100 kms with my liana or xli. (ur choice)
With liana i can give u an advantage that i can give one car gap in advance before at start and with corolla we can start from neck to neck. Both being 1.3 sedans will qualify according to ur claim.
Well I have kept idsi and i know its potential.
Now u suggest time and venue.

city is meant for acceleration........ not for racing.

from stant point xli will take the lead in first two gears from city idsi no doubt

but if ur starting from 100kmph agiaint idsi VARIO CVT transsimion then u have very little chance of gaining lead

xli in 3rd gear compared to CVT at its optimum rpm range all the time, facts say it, practically has tested it, no chance, ofcourse it wont be day n night differance, but still no chance.

i dont race or else i would have proved it to u

@RedBull_ar, right on! The 2NZ-FE is a hound in the 1st and 2nd gear but loses power in 3rd and takes quite a while to make up for lost power. The Vario can take on the XLi at speeds exceeding 100Kph and performs brilliantly on the motorway! Although I own both cars, the Vario is truly amazing at higher speeds while for quick acceleration, the 2NZ is amazing!

First i would like to show a COMMENT by a respected member RL589, which we already discussed and unfortunately u skipped.

one thing more tht u will find this car with well educated persons in it , paindooss cant understand this car im i rite ????? very hi tech car .

I also suggest u to READ the WORKING of i-DSI engine over te INTERNET. U will surely be amazed.

I AND any of the MEMBER here never said that CITY i-DSI has got GOOD initial acceleration.

Your LIANA and XLI r GOOD in INITIAL ACCELERATION from CITY i-DSI but they r nothing wrt fuel ECONOMY & at high SPEED infront of CITY i-DSI.

It may seems that u havn't got any experience at all in CITY i-DSI at HIGH SPEEDS.

City i-DSI has got slow initial acceleration but when it hits at the SPEED of more than 80, it ROCKS.

As far as ur CHALLENGE is concern :

Unfortunately we don't hav any GOOD ROADs available in PAKISTAN from where we specificly TEST our CARS after the speed of 100 KM/h. Haven't we ???

If u know any PROPER ROAD which ofcourse should be
SAFE
where we can TEST the CARS upto 200 KMs , then i would love to take ur CHALLENGE.

As obviously when RACE starts at the SPEED of 100 KM/h, it will futher go to 200 km/h at least. Isn't it ???

I was only mentioning that whenever u need to go FAST at HIGHWAYS or MOTORWAY, CITY i-DSI will always impress u and along with GREAT FUEL ECONOMY as well.

iDSI is amazing technology. Sadly underrated in our country because we cant get over the VTAC and Double VTAC(Heard this from a Altis owner calling VVTi the former). It provides amazing torque at high speeds(low Rpm), as opposed to higher revs. The XLi can beat the heck out the iDSI in initial gear shifting, but even the Vario can beat an XLi in speeds exceeding 100Kph!

Well IDSI is crap technology, I don’t need to familiar myself by reading it on internet, I’ve checked it practically for constant 2 years and by driving it approx 40,000 kms on motorways and as well as on local city driving. U seriously need to get out of internet buddy. By saving of 1 or 2 kms on fuel and by sacrificing so much on performance is just plain stupidity and nothing else.
Well by looking at ur last hilarious comments, no wonder why u r so much in favour of 1.2 IDSI, now I understand that u haven’t checked its abilities yet, coz of giving me excuse that there r no roads in Pakistan to check its top end. U have given me this excuse but don’t give it to any other person, ull make him laugh a lot buddy. Well Ill give u a suggestion, do check it on motorways etc, maximum u need is some fine just in case u get caught. But its highly unlikely for L12a, 1.2 IDSI being caught on high speed, lol.

First try to look at the specs of the CAR. It seems that u r only impress by the acceleration of LIANA & COROLLA.

@power bro plzz dont compare I-DSI,s acceleration with other carz coz it is a fuel efficient car where as otherz r not .I-DSI is doing 18km/L where as XLI is doing 12 km/L ok . Now tell me who wll cover the 6 km/l gap ??????? that accleration. im i rite ??
U WANNA RACE ???? go n race with city 2001 (exis) this car is meant for acceleration , i have beaten 99 1.6 GLI with my EXIS. then think urself where will LIANA N XLI will go . Better power 2 weight ratios , better gear ratios ofcourse better aerodynamics.

Alhamdulillah yesterday I got my Steermatic delivered from Honda Classic. Its in stone silver. Its an amazing ride and very impressive. Took one pic of the meter to share with you guys

Thanks Bro. Yeah it is and especially now with a 50,000 rebate the price comes to 984,500 in Islamabad. I think in this price there is no match for this car i.e. GLi costs you arround 970,000 and beleive me there is no comparison of these two. Its now real value for its price.
