my frnd died 2 weeks ago frm today in a steermatic, could have been saved if steermatic was equipped with ABS.
now even almost all 1.3 cars are having abs.
take it into consideration b4 buying this car.
otherwise its a great ride.
but lack of abs is alot for me to compensate.

But my friend if he was racing on streets , then it was his fault ,
ABS or no ABS an experienced driver knows the limits of braking and brake lock , ABS only aids on in braking which could be ALMOST replicated by a driver if he is experienced

note: (replicate in terms of stopping power, not the action of ABS system )

@ Adil bhai, thanks a million for the valuable info. I have a similar problem with the transmission. The car sometimes hesitates and feels sluggish. Back in November, when I took the car to Honda Drive-In for transmission oil chage, they told me that the CVT oil is changed at 40,000 km and that the vehicle has done only 30,000 km. And told that they will change this at 40K km.

I've heard that auto transmissions also have oil filters which needs to be changed as well. Was yours repalced in the service?

Now after hearing your story, I'll get this done immediately.

It is recommended to Change ATF on 40K or three years which ever is earlier!

Guys, yesterday i filled the tank and was completely blown away by the kind of fuel average i got. Let me share the details:

Fuel Consumed: 25.10 L
Kms Driven: 360.5 km
Average: 14.36 km/L

All the parameters were same except for the fact that i changed my driving style to "patience". I don't remember crossing 70 km/hr or 2500 rpms in this tankful. Nonetheless, the car was constantly driven in morning and evening traffic jams (idling for 5-7 minutes everyday) with 80% ac usage. Like always half the tank was filled with HOBC.

Adil bhai, not yet! Car's done around 34,000 km. It will hit 35K km in a month. I plan to get it changed with the 35K km service. But you seems to be happy with the results

Last week got the 35k km service done from honda I-9. Asked the manager about changing the trans oil which he first checked and then recommended to change at 40k km. I am going as per manual i.e. servicing at every 5k interval and using Honda oil and other stuff.

I was experiencing a slight rpm drop while stopping the car for which they serviced the thrttle body and its perfect now.

car was also knocking at certain occasions i.e. when stopping the car or while starting to move the car. was knocking quite alot with AC. the manager at Honda recommeneded mixing HOBC with regular fuel. He said that this issue is also there with the current model of City both manual and auto.

Come on, we all know that... but can u fit in 5 ppl with luggage and go to a tour of muree on your RX-8....?? RX-8 is rotary, thats a completely different class... we here are talking about family cars.and for that, new city IS the fastest car for now, in 1.3L category.

I know that , iam i was just correcting the gentleman that Honda City is not the fastest 1.3L car , that title belongs to RX-7 (A)

OH !!! and yes i can pack my bags with my 3 friends including me which make a total of 4 passengers and can go to muree in an RX-8 no problem at all . but my RX-8 will be scratched under the belly .:(but if i carefully drive the car i can overcome that obstetrical too hehhe !!!

Well, let me put it this way.

You can always drive to office in your bugatti veyron, but wont u prefer being driven in a maybach or may be u wud drive a bentley to ur office?

We here are talking about passenger cars only, and yes we all agree that the title of fastest 1.3L car goes to the mighty rotary
