Type of Door Hinges (KABZA) to be Used for Door
There are 2 types of hinges mainly used for doors.
1) Bearing based Hinge
2) Non Bearing based Hinge or Wire based Hinge
General Rules Applicable to Both:
-If door size is = or < 7 ft, use hinge having 4 holes in its body
-If door size is > 7 ft, use hinge having 5 holes in its body
-If door size is = or < 7 ft, use 4 hinges in total
-If door size is > 7 ft, use 5 hinges in total
Comparison of Both:
Bearing Based Hinge.

-Bearing based mechanism, bearing are inside the cylinders
-Very smooth flow of door opening/ closing
- Long life and more reliable
- Have strong integrity and do not deform over period of time so door always remains in level
- No abnormal sounds over period of time
- Good interior finish
- Not so much price difference w.r.t simple hinge
2) Non Bearing based Hinge or Wire based Hinge

-Both part of hinge are connected with each other via cross-intersected 2 mm wire
-Hinge level tend to out in case of heavy door
- Not capable of bearinh load of big doors
- Door opening/closing problems due to hinge deformation over period of time
- Less rates as compared to of bearing based hinge
- Gives very disturbing sound after some time and you need to lubricate it regularly
-Below average interior loooks
Thanks.
