Safety Grills Guidance
There are 2 types of grills;
1- Solid Iron Grills
2- Pipe Grills
1- Solid Iron Grills
- Most durable and reliable
- Can be made from 2 - 3 sootar size or even in half inch sarya size
- Provide best protection
-Always go for square sarya design rather of round
- Always buy good quality sarya, not the re-molded one
- Difficult to cut with hand iron saw
- High costs (60% almost extra as compared to of pipe grill)
2- Pipe Grills
- Average reliability
- Can be made from half inch pipe to 1 inch or 2 inch with various combination
- Easily cut able with hand saw if low gauge pipe is used
- Economical for all peoples
- Always use 16 gauge pipe when you are going for pipe grill option
Regardless of above 2 options with which you go, always fit the grill with the help of Sarya welding option. Grill shall not be openable by any means. There are huge cases that happens daily in our circle/ society where thieves break glass, open the grill screws and enter the home. Grill fitting by screws in only recommendation by welding guys to make their life easy and hassle free, but this is totally against the individual who is residing in the home.
So always fit the grill permanently with help of sarya welding option
Steps for Welding the Grill with Sarya
1- Prepare the grill as per window size
2- Identify no of 3.5 inch long sarya (sarya size 2.5 sootar) pieces required (usually 10 - 12 pieces may be required for an normal size window. 3 for top, 3 for left side, 3 for right side and 2 for base)
3- Paint all the sarya pieces as well to minimize the corrosion rate
4- Once grill is prepared, painted , keep grill inside window. At least 3 inch inside from wall corner
5- Make spot on wall with help of marker for making an hole for 2.5 sootar sarya.
6-Make holes on marker spots with help of rotary hammer (Hilti) drill. Use appropriate size of bit i.e. hole shall be of that size in which 2.5 sootar sarya can be inseretd easily. Niether it shall be very tight, nor it shall be loose otehr wise grill will loose. Hole depth inside wall shall be 3.5 inch.
3 inch sarya will be inside wall and 0.5 will be outside wall.
7- At bottom side/ base side if marble slab is present in window, use sehhesha verma for making hole in marble/granite slab , once you clear the marble segment, then you can use regular bit which you used for making other holes.
8- Once all holes done, insert the sarya with help of hammer. Keep only 0.5 inch outside wall.
9- Keep grill in window
10- Weld in a good manner from all sides.
11- Once welding job done, advise paint guy to do the final touching
12- ENJOY your sleep with security and safety feeling.
