If its not the SOP in your area, mention this in written contract that plaster will be done with clean sand that have been passed through mesh. More time you will spend on contract terms and conditions, less troubles/ surprises you will have during construction.

Update on Ceiling Lights
Nowadays huge variety is available for ceiling lights. selection shall be careful to have trouble free living.

You can install 7 watt SMD down panel lights in the ceiling or in roof directly.New series coming in 7 watts, old 1 available still in 6 watts.

Khawaja Electric in Fsd offers good quality lights in very optimal rates and have wide variety. You even can deposit amount directly in their account, and they will send you SMD down ceiling lights via Daewoo Cargo or Bilal Travels Cargo. Brands they offers are KF and Silklite (imported by themselves). Price is about 200 Rs average inclusive of warranty and smd driver size is also good/satisfactory.

No fixture needs to be incorporated at this stage. However, consider to place CCTV wire pipes if you are planning for this. Thanks.

Yes, i do have plan for cctv pipes. How much distance should be placed between cctv and electrical cables pipes to limit interference.

No specific planned distance to be provided. If CCTV and Electrical wires are going through separate pipes, no interference would be encountered.

For better plaster finish we should use mix of thick and thin sand. 70% thick and 30% thin sand. In this way there is alot less chances of having voids. It is termed as minimum void method.

@tajammal84, I am on the finishing stage of my home. Need to install aluminium windows next. There are different companies chawla, prime and pakistan alco being on the top and chawla being the most expensive. Which one would you recommend if you have researched on it yet? What are the per sqft rates for windows including the fitting for these companies in your city, including the glass, locks, accessories and mesh?

Prime and Chawla are brand names thats why they are costly. Pakistan alco is good but it do not have the company stamp and you can have its copy during installation.

You can go for ALCON , it have the company stamp on all its products and comes in 1.2mm accurate measurement as well. If you go with it, you will get the original product as copy not so far available in that.
Rates also depends upon measurements and types of windows. It have fix panels or not, it have section in 1 window or not. Silver/ grey color aluminium is less costly as compared to shampion colour. You can go for and save 20000-25000 Rs on a 10 marla project. Generally you can get ALCON 1.2mm Silver aluminium inclusive of everything in around 300 Rs Per Sq Avg rate. Rate may vary from place to place and based on other specific requirements. Further information on ALCON , you can get from Mr.Atique (0322-850 5625). He can guide you about even local person dealing in your city offering ALCON products.

depends upon work experience and style of mistri. If he is habitual of iron garmala, he cant do work with wood one. So, vary from case to case.

@tajammal84, Bro is there any solution to remove dried cement from matt tiles? Actually My house is under construction and all the exterior including the garage and sideways and back are tiled with porcelain matt tiles. The work remained suspended for a year and in the meanwhile the houses on the right and back side started construction and due to the plaster, the cement fell on our side and got dried up on the tiles. Are there any chemicals available in the market to remove the cement and restore the tiles to their original look?
